SPD Emergency!

Jack Landors was one of those people that had a special ability - the ability to phase through walls. While it was never truly stated, it can be assumed that this is the reason why Doggie Cruger had the B-Squad of SPD search him, as well as his "sister" Z Delgado, out in the streets. Jack, along with his "sister" Z, were considered criminals - but in reality they were more of a duo reminiscent of Robin Hood, as they only stole from those who had much so they could give it to those who had nothing. After clashing with the B-Squad of SPD, the Troobians got involved and before you could blink an eye, Jack and his sister were arrested and would be released under one condition - if they joined the B-Squad.

Jack refused the offer and was not interested in being a Power Ranger. But his "sister" Z did, and after realizing that her life was in danger as a Power Ranger against the Troobians, Jack took the morpher and came to the rescue, morphing in to the Red Ranger (much to Sky's disdain). Jack was an unconventional choice for being a leader but proved that he had what it took to be the leader of the B-Squad of Power Rangers. He would clash often with Sky Tate and with Doggie Cruger, never being a fan of rules and authority, but in the end, he would lead the Power Rangers SPD to victory over Emperor Grumm and his plans to conquer the universe.

Towards the end of the series, Jack began to do what he truly loved - helping the needy. It began to clash with his duties of a Power Ranger, and by the end of the series, he indeed leaves SPD, leaving Sky Tate to take over his role as the Red Ranger and leader of the Power Rangers.

[b]Jack Landors is played by Brandon Jay McLaren. In the Power Rangers fan community, he is best known off-screen for dating Emma Lahanna, who played Kira Ford the Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Thunder. The 15th Anniversary of the show occured in Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, and Brandon was contacted to reprise his role of Jack the SPD Red Ranger in the two-part episode "Once a Ranger". But due to the involvement of his ex-girlfriend (Emma Lahanna), Brandon declined the offer which paved the way for Matt Austin, who played Bridge Carson, to return and to set up the storyline of how he eventually became the new Red Ranger.

Power Rangers actors don't always have the best reputation of becoming successful actors (the number who do versus the number who don't is staggering to say the least). But Brandon Jay McLaren seems to have beaten the odds and has become quite a successful actor, landing roles in a number of popular, highly-watched television shows and series. Since his role in Power Rangers, Brandon has also gone on to star in various shows like Smallville, Kyle XY, Harper's Island, CSI, and Falling Skies. Now you can see Brandon as "Dale Jakes" in the popular television program Graceland.

Big fan of Jack as well (as Doggie that is). SPD was one of my favourite seasons in a long time and Jack was a great Red Ranger. Good stuff!
