Rumors have been circling for months now that a new Power Rangers series was in development on Disney+.  A couple of weeks ago, Hasbro’s own press release confirmed that Disney+, along with 20th Century TV, were in development of this new series.  The final rumor involved who the writers and showrunners would be – and thanks to MovieWeb and longtime Power Rangers insider Joe Deckelmeier, we now have confirmation of who is involved.

At the premiere for the new season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Joe Deckelmeier asked both Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz – current writers and showrunners of the Percy Jackson series – if their involvement with the new Power Rangers series was true or not.

“…You are asking questions that you know I can’t answer.  Let’s just say we very much hope to bring this story to life…” – Jonathan E. Steinberg

Dan Shotz was more forthcoming with his answer.

“The rumor is true.  I can not tell you, but I am very, very excited for that story.” – Dan Shotz

The wait for Power Rangers news and information for the future looks to be closing out 2025 with a promising hint towards that future.  Metacritic lists Percy Jackson and the Olympians with an overall meta score of 73, and overall user review of Season 1 with a 70 – both considered “Generally Favorable”.

It is with great sorrow that we share the news that Adam Ramusiewicz, aka “liladam87” on social media, and friend to so many in the Power Rangers community, has passed away.

On Monday, September 8th, Adam Ramusiewicz – better known to the Power Rangers community as “liladam87” on social media – suffered a health emergency while celebrating with a group of friends and was rushed to a local hospital.  Sadly, he would not recover from his injuries and would later be pronounced medically deceased.  Life support was ended on the evening of Monday, September 15th.  We want to note that Adam was an organ donor, and like the heroes he followed, he too will save someone’s life.

Adam was an adamant supporter of tokusatsu, but his love really shone brightest with Power Rangers.  Chances are, if you attended a Power Morphicon convention, you probably ran into Adam at some point.  He was an ardent supporter of the brand, the messages it stood for, and in sharing that love and enthusiasm with like-minded fans and friends.  On May 3rd, 2022, Adam started the #ILovePowerRangers hash tag campaign on social media.  The support the campaign received got Hasbro to acknowledge him personally in a video and to reveal a (at the time) brand new Power Rangers Lightning Collection figure (Wild Force Blue Ranger).  Adam considered it his greatest Power Rangers achievement and was very proud of it (rightfully so).

But most of all, if you knew Adam then you knew that he was a wonderful human being, through and through.  A personal example – he sent a box of miscellaneous toys to my house a few years ago for my kids – unsolicited – just because he thought that they’d maybe enjoy them.  He was always one of the first to reach out to you if you were going through a hard time, and would always check up on you later.  For his friends, he always gave all of himself and asked for nothing in return.

His kindness, positivity, and care for others was something all of us could count on, and something all of us should embrace moving forward.

Rest in peace, Adam, and May the Power Protect You, Always.

Ever since the popular battle royale shooting game Fortnite added Snake-Eyes from G.I. Joe a couple of years ago (along with a special edition Snake-Eyes Fortnite figure from Hasbro), insiders and fans have speculated and even predicted that the Power Rangers would one day become part of Fortnite.  And after years of hype and letdowns, the rumors have come true.

The Chapter 6 Season 4 update for Fortnite – coming August 7th 2025 – will feature the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (alongside Halo).  Exact details are still unknown as of the time of this story but verified leakers have stated that the core five Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Red, Black, Blue, Yellow, and Pink) will be available, with the popular Green Ranger (and White Ranger) coming via the Season Battle Pass.  The Dino Megazord is also suggested to be available in September and will likely play into Fortnite‘s story.

Fortnite is a free-to-play online battle royale shooting game by Epic Games and is arguably one of the most successful and profitable games of all time.  The release coincides with the release of both the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition toy line and 4K remastered show on Netflix.

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are back in a 4K remastered series on Netflix titled “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Re-Ignition“.  Watch the first season (60 episodes) of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers show remastered in 4K resolution.

Coming to us from Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong is a reveal from FlameToys about their next project for Power Rangers – and it’s their own unique take on the Thunder Megazord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

This year’s San Diego Comic Con 2025 is in full swing and TokuNation is at the show to bring you any and all tokusatsu news and images!

ThreeZero has put on display a brand new 1:6 figure for your collection – the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Lord Drakkon Final Evolution figure from his appearance in the BOOM! Studios comic book “Shattered Grid #1″.  In the comic, this was Lord Drakkon‘s final form after having merged nearly all power-sets from all Power Rangers, ever, into his own.  With it, he became as powerful as a Morphin Master and changed reality to his own perfect world.  In the end, Lord Drakkon ultimately chose destruction rather than redemption, and he was presumed deceased when reality fixed itself (spoiler: he was not in fact destroyed).
