The good people at The Tokusatsu Network have come across some very interesting news in the latest issue of Japan’s “CinemaToday” magazine.
Hiroshi Fujioka, the very first Kamen Rider (who performed a multitude of stuntwork AND sang his own theme song in addition to his regular workload) will be joining the cast of “Hesei VS Showa: Movie War.”
Though Fujioka has performed voice work for tokusatsu previously (the most recent example being 2011’s “Let’s Go Kamen Rider”), this will be the first time in 38 Years that his character, Takeshi Hongo, has appeared & transformed on screen.
Truly this is a sign of good things to come! “Hesei VS Showa” premieres March 29, 2014 so stay tuned until then for further details!
UPDATED: New images of Rider 1 have been captured from a TV broadcast in Japan. These come via Heroshock, their source currently unknown. The new images show Fujioka in yet another Henshin pose AND riding New Cyclone!
With the latest Movie War opening in Japan this weekend, Toei appears to have begun working on their next epic teamup.
The newly-launched Superhero Movie site features a compilation of every major Kamen Rider from both eras and also refers to the project as "featuring Super Sentai."
Whatever it is, there's a release date of March 29, 2014!
Let the rumor mill turn!
Oh Hesei vs Showa would be so cool! *squeals*
No Kamen Rider G?
No dice.
Think about how cool this could be fight-wise.
Kuuga vs. Ichigo
Stronger vs. Kabuto
Super-1 vs. Fourze
This could be awesome.
