This didn't do it for me. It just lacked everything it should've had. The "Split Emitters" or whatever they were called and the random dog were about the only good thing here. Arcanon did nothing but bad guy postulating, and we didn't get to see more of the "Fury-hates-Singe-hates-Fury" bit from earlier during Heckyl's reign. The N-Zed auditions were just giving the Rangers something to do, and it didn't add enough to make it worthwhile. The early battle with Doomwing-Silver was hastened and the editing wasn't up to par. The revelation of Zenowing was too quick and the Rangers accepted the matter to soon. Keeper also didn't explain much of Zenowing's past. The final battle lacked any of the impact it should've had. I don't really know what to say to this one.
P.S.: Tyler and Chase talking about Tyler's crush...while Tyler holds a banana!!! Seriously!!!
P.P.S.: "Imagining the Judges as Pineapples" bit. Aside from being random, Gorenger made the "people-pineapple" thing work on a better level: http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Pineapple_Mask
P.P.P.S. (If such a thing exists): Don't have Rangers bait villains with cue cards!!! The effect just doesn't land!!!

I actually really enjoyed the Shelby/Tyler subplot. But the issue is that it wasn't the subplot - it WAS the plot. The Silver Ranger felt like the subplot.
I get it - I do. But that doesn't mean the episode should be graded as some awesome thing because we FINALLY after 30+ episodes got the Shelby/Tyler romance we've been wanting since episode 1. If anything, we should be disappointed that this was shoe-horned in to an episode that was supposed to advance the overall season's plot.
Instead it's "SHELBY LIKES ANOTHER GUY WAIT TYLER IS GONNA BE COURAGEOUS AWW THEY LIKE EACH OTHER P.S. SILVER RANGER IS ON OUR SIDE NOW."
It was, however, a step up from the rest of Dino Supercharge.
And where the hell is the theme song? Hasn't been used but once this entire season so far aside from the opening.

I thought this episode had two polarizing plots that didn't really help the overall feel that things were becoming more serious for the Rangers. This close to the end, while I know there are some more coming up, I don't feel like we should really have any silly plots.
Sure, it ties things up for Tyler/Shelby, but with that pairing being drawn out this far in, I would have preferred them having it fully established a little earlier, or actually show more of them together instead of just being flirty. If that makes sense.
On the other side, we have the plot moving forward, but I felt like the Zenowing/Doom two-halves-of-one-whole, how-do-we-split-them part was waaaaaay too short. You've had Heckyl/Snide gain access to the base before Shelby found out they betrayed the Rangers (which I'm still annoyed they haven't shown anything else with that), which, for the short while it was there, really amped up the danger of the season. If they hadn't revealed they were the same person, they could have extended that plot a bit more with something like that.
I agree with Kickback, the Tyler/Shelby/NZ-ed Boys plot was shoehorned into this episode and really brought what it could have been, down.
But, compared to what else we've gotten in DSC so far, I do agree it was overall one of the better episodes. Not best, just better.

I love Dino Charge, and enjoyed the first several episodes of Dino Supercharge, but ever since the show returned in August it's... been rather... lackluster. Especially after such a long wait for new episodes. I definitely saw the Silver Ranger's betrayal coming from the previous episode... and then they reveal it way too soon into this one. I'm hoping things pick up for the last couple of episodes, but I'm not exactly confident this show will end with anything but a whimper.

I liked it, I did think it was okay. I enjoyed the original footage and any scenes with a monster moving it's mouth is a win for me. I'm really glad they are putting in the effort for the little touch. I do think it was one of the better episodes this season, but it can still be better.
