Why is the 12 episode banned? I know nothing about Ultraman. Cool that it's getting a US release though.

Awesome since I just sold off my Region 2 DVDs.

I'll get this sooner or later (well, probably later since by then, I will have 4 months of backlog to buy).

reading up on it apparantly it was banned because of the aliens being offensive to folks who lived through the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

AWESOME. Cannot wait to get my hands on this. GREAT series and easily the most popular and well loved of the Ultra Heroes.

Hm...why not? I'll pick it up since I've always wanted to try an Ultraman series. It being put out by Shout Factory who are the bros of TV on DVD is icing on the cake.

I'm praying to a ridiculous sum of deities that this opens the gateway to more toku shows subbed officially(Kaku and Aba, pretty please?).
