Power Rangers Samurai Gigazord

Posted on September 18, 2012 at 5:12 pm by Shin Densetsu under Power Rangers

The new Samurai Gigazord has been released. This toy was sighted both at Toys R Us and at Walmart. Unlike the larger Samurai Megazord and auxillary zords, this smaller Gigazord cannot break down into individual zord components. However, what it can do is combine with the other zords! For example, it can combine with the following:

  • Samurai Megazord
  • Clawzord
  • Bull Megazord
There is a generous amount of attachment pegs on the limbs. Though this Gigazord does not break down, it can transform into what is advertised as a “spaceship” on the package. Check out images of the new Gigazord in package after the jump.

People talk alot of trash about this figure/zord/whatever...while it isn't much on its own, if you're into the zord builder aspect of the toys, it really opens up alot of cool possibilities with the extra connectors.

Here's what my ultrazord transformed into with the other parts:

Even with all those pieces hanging somewhere on the back, it looks pretty good. Maybe if you had another Clawzord so you can extend the legs, everything would look better.

The difference is that what your talking about is the actual transforming one. This monstrosity can't even do that much. It's just pathetic that being able to take the arms off of a figure counts as an action feature and a selling point.

No, the one I'm referring to is the one pictured at the top of the page. With the arms from it mounted on the back of the Gigazord it lets you retain the clawzord's claws on top while giving you another peg for attachements. This lets you raise the beetle and swordfish higher to give the gigazord the look of having a broader chest area, also it could be used to mount the front legs of the tiger tank to give it massive drills that hang over the shoulder.

It could be alot more streamlined if you removed the extra beetle and swordfish from the arms and took off the extra claws on the side (which I have holding the two disks).

I understand that many people are mainly interested in a streamlined, show-accurate design...my picture was just to show how these extra zords (simply through limb-swapping or whatever) can provide a ton a play value to kids. These are basically Lego megazords, lol.

I can't see the picture. What does this combination look like?
