I received this email from online retailer AmiAmi this morning regarding the latest Super Robot Chogokin release:
We regret to inform you that most quantities of this item have arrived at our warehouse with some box damage. Unfortunately because this is a product packaging issue, no exchanges are being offered by the maker and we have no choice but to ship the items in their present condition. We are of course doing our best to ship only items with minor damage and will not be shipping items with major damage.
Apparently several people who pre-ordered DaiZyuJin have received this notice. How it will affect the overall quality of the figure remains to be seen, but collectors should be aware of this possible issue.

Ohhhh that doesn't sound so great
Strange that they say most of their shipments arrived damaged. Let's hope they're using Mandarake's definition of damage, in that case.
Fortunately, this is something I would be opening, but I won't be able to get him probably until tax season, so by then, there will be non-dented packages out.
Suddenly millions of fanboys cried out in terror.. only to be suddenly silenced.
Regardless of whether or not the packaging issues are severe, it's more than likely that it's just Amiami's shipment of the figure, so ordering anywhere else should be just fine.
maybe it just amiamai cause the ones in hong kong are completely fine
umm...reduced priced please?
Yeah...like others have already said I expect this to be the Japanese definition of "damaged".
