A magazine scan has revealed a new Show-era Rider Figuart! Bandai Tamashii will be releasing their Showa Rider 1 figure in an all new colorscheme based on the apperance he made in his triumphant return in the original series in 1971 during Rider 2’s reign of the series!
He is due out at regular retail with a release date of January 2013 for 2940 Yen!

Nice! Now to get this one or the original release...
What amazes me is that Bandai isn't trying to screw us over with this release by making it some kind of web exclusive.
So bought.
Glad they're giving us a different version so we can differentiate the two originals, but I think I'll wait for a black-helmet Rider 2 ala Megamax.
I think I like the original colour better... but this one comes with a sword... hmmm choices =p
The first Rider 1 Figuart also came with the sword.
