Our good friends over at Ranger Crew Blog have put up an extensive review of the recently released Power Rangers Megaforce Gosei Morpher!
This morphin’ device uses cards … but unlike the Super Sentai version, the Megaforce version gives us a bunch of cards of previous Power Rangers! The question on everyones’ mind is … will this morpher stick around for the second season of Megaforce, or are we going to see Ranger Keys coming in to play sometime during the Gokaiger adaption portion of the season?
Only time will tell!
Again, check out our friends at the Ranger Crew Blog for all the awesomeness that is the Megaforce Gosei Morpher!

Damn...That's actually pretty cool. I wouldn't mind buying one and trying to get all the Red Ranger cards for it.
Denshin48 says
that box is just asking for these to be stolen or destroyed
that said I may actually get this but I dont really plan on getting the figures and stuff. so repro cards will have to be in order
Golden King says
We better get ranger keys

I've also been using scans and customs of the Gosei Cards in the Gosei Morpher to
unlock over 100 new sounds. I have two videos up showing some of them:
I found a sound that sounds like Ultra Mode Morph

And a glowing sound

I also put a big list on Rangerboard of every sound I found, excluding the ones found on the cards that come with the toys.

Differences between Tensouder and Gosei Morpher:
The Gosei Morpher is overall around 5% bigger in width and height. Due to this, the Gosei Cards work in the Gosei Morpher due to being slightly smaller, but the Power Cards do not work in the Tensouder because they are slightly bigger. You do not need a card to fill the entire mouthpiece. It just has to have the top left bar code positioned to be read.
Gosei Morpher is a lighter tan, while the Tensouder is a darker tan. The Gosei Morpher is closer to the screen accurate light golden tan of the Tensouder in the Goseiger footage.
The Gosei Morpher feels of noticeably less quality plastic, but not in the bad category. It's impressive for a BoA toy of these days, and feels like the other Samurai morphers/weapons.
The Gosei Morpher is thinner overall. The main piece looks around 15% thinner. The clip for the belt and Tensword sticks out about 25% less.
The hole to pull out the mouth is completely open, as opposed to the Tensouder having a bottom to the circle area.
The Gosei Morpher opens just by pulling down the mouth. The Tensouder has a button to push on the circle finger slot.
The volume is higher on the Gosei Morpher.
The back of the mouth of the Gosei Morpher is black, while the Tensouder is red. Red is screen accurate to the Goseiger footage.
The Tensouder has a beeping sound when the mouth is left open for a period of time. The Gosei Morpher doesn't.
The Gosei Morpher makes the mechanical sound when opening it. Tensouder says Gotcha.
The Gosei morpher has more switches inside of it that seems to open up when the mouth opens, I noticed when trying to use custom cards. The Tensouder seems to just read the barcodes off the flat red surface without feeling like things are moving inside as the mouth goes up.
The Gosei Morpher has a sound that plays when you open and close the mouth, regardless of a card being inside. The Tensouder just has the opening Gotcha.
When the Tensouder's mouth opens, the green eyes change to red. The Gosei Morpher stays green all the time.
The Gosei Morpher has the Try, On and TCG Modes. Tensouder has one mode for reading all Gosei Cards, just an on/off switch. On that note, I cannot find an off switch on the Gosei Morpher.
It's harder to get cards out of the Gosei Morpher compared to the Tensouder. I am actually concerned about the bottom of each of my Power Cards.
Those are about all the differences I can find for now.

This has to be the most impressive morpher from Bandai of America in years. It's probably not exactly as good as the Tensouder, but it seems I can confidently say, for the first time, that this is a worthy substitute. It's a massive improvement over those cheap single-button lightweight morphers we've had for a while now. This is probably the toy I'm most excited for from the Megaforce line.

I'll give them credit, the voice does sound pretty damn good. That's the kind of voice I want from a morpher. That said, there's at least a 70% chance that the morpher sounds nothing like that in the show just from knowing BoA's track record on sound effects.

I need this so badly. I'm dying for it.
