Legendary voice actor Goro Naya, the voice behind the Great Leader of the evil organization Shocker has sadly passed away at age 83.
In addition to playing the Great Leader since the beginning of “Kamen Rider” through the recent 40th anniversary film, Goro Naya was the voice behind several iconic anime characters- including Inspector Zenigata of Lupin III and Captain Juzo Okita in Space Battleship Yamato

His voice is one of the most iconic aspects of that era of tokusatsu. He will be missed.

Captain Juzo.. There's something that takes me back to my childhood. You'll be missed Naya-sama.
Unfortunately the only time I've heard him as the Great Leader was in Let's Go,but I still could see why he was and is GREAT.I wish I could have appreciated his role more while he was still alive.I wish his passing wasn't a push for me to watch the original series,but I really want to hear him at his best.It's terrible to lose such an actor who played such iconic characters,but he would be happy to know that his fans won't forget him.
