Said it in the other thread, so I'll say it here to, I guess:
I'm surprised, I honestly thought they'd just keep Tiger Ranger male in the US. I think it's a stupid waste of money to remake him for MMPR, especially considering the body was male in most of Season One, which is what the anniversary is mostly catering to, but whatever, good for the MMPR fans that wanted it. I'm happy with my male Tigerranger though, as they're Zyurangers to me and always will be.
Maybe someday they'll release a Dragon Ranger with a crappy, floppy material Dragon Armour too if they're going for MMPR accuracy! XD

There's actually 2 arguments here that everyone isn't acknowledging.
The first is that there is actually a Figuart made entirely for US buyers. If that's the case, then it proves everyone who said we'd never get anything exclusive beyond a sticker on the box with the English name, wrong.
The second is that the normal Tiger Ranger will be released with an add on skirt, in which case, Akiba Powerful Rangers argument. "Why buy the same figure with less accessories?"
Starscream Gaga says
I very much doubt the normal Tiger Ranger ill come with an add-on skirt.
I'm repeating myself from the other thread, but it does seem a really weird decision. I doubt any MMPR that wanted a Yellow Ranger Figuart would not get it because of a male body, because she did have a male body in Season One footage, which is the most fondly remembered and Zyuranger collectors in the US would also be getting it to be Tiger Ranger. Now they've effectively cut off their sales, all Zyuranger collectors will now definitely get the JP release, not the US release, so they've lost all those sales. It just seems like a totally bad decision. I had never seen anyone say they wouldn't get Tiger Ranger if it was male, but I know a lot of people won't get Yellow Ranger with a female body.

I wanted to buy all the US versions, but if the US ONLY gets the female mold, then I guess one of them will be Japanese.

Guess I got carried away with the gut reaction of "this is silly." Sorry about that...

This is very good news for those that wanted a female Tiger Ranger.
I'll be happy with the Japanese version, but I really hope this is a good sign of things to come in the future for Western buyers.

Though I didn't want one, congrats to those who did, I guess.
And you guys are right, it is good news for western releases. Silver linings, I suppose.

Great news for MMPR fans
And besides western exclusive figuarts!

Good for whoever wants it but I'm still getting Tiger Ranger.
The Powerful Rangers argument has to do with an original accessory being removed over rights issues but still having to pay more for the same figure in this country. Why not buy the original release with everything it's intended to come with AND pay less.
It's the reverse here. Tiger/Yellow will come with an additional accessory for the increased price. Making it a wash. So whichever version suits your more, cool. For me I'm collecting Zyurangers, not Power Rangers SHF's. Even if I was I wouldn't want an inaccurate skirt. Gender inside the costume aside, the outward appearance is what matters to me.
But again, awesome for those who wanted a female looking Yellow Ranger, it just isn't for me.
