Man, how time flies.
It was 20 years ago today, August the 28th, that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers first aired. Five teenagers with attitude were selected by intergalactic being Zordon to save the world from Rita Repusla. Since then, the Power Rangers have been called upon to stop Lord Zedd, Hydro Hog, King Mondo, Divatox, Astronema, Trakeena, Queen Bansheera, Ransik, Master Org, Lothar, Mesogag, Emperor Grumm, The Master, Flurious, Dai’Shi, Venjix, Master Xandred, and now Vrak and his fellow evil space aliens.
We’ve had powers given to teenagers and young adults ranging from powerful magical coins to cell phones. We’ve had love and romance between characters, other characters whose search for their lost sibling lead them straight in to the maw of the enemy, and an even the son of two villains appear in order to take revenge on his parents being turned to the side of good.
We’ve had a number of colors – Red, Black, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Green, White, Gold, Silver, Titanium, Crimson, Navy, Shadow, Purple, and even a spoof by featuring an Orange one. We’ve had teams of Power Rangers start as small as three and become as large as nine (here’s looking at you, SPD Nova Ranger!). They’ve been based behind dinosaurs, ninjas, shapes, samurai, animals, cars, cars that are based on animals, and so much more.
And sadly we’ve lost actors behind some of our favorite characters – Trini, Ernie, U’Donna – and yet every year (or 2 years now) we’re introduced to a new set of characters, a new set of actors for us to fall in love with.

No Power Rangers! Today is my birthday!

Time for Time Force!
My all time favorite series, and it holds up surprisingly well today. It introduced the strongest Pink to date, it gave a solid story and a really nice set of characters (Only one was forgettable, which is a really good record considering most Ranger series has 3 bland characters).
Shift Into Turbo!
It's not perfect, and it's heavily flawed, but it holds a soft spot in my heart. While I'll acknowledge that it's nowhere near the best PR series, I'm inclined to defend it from the unwarranted hate of "Tommy left! That must mean this series sucks!"

It's Morphin' Time!
I think the pivotal moment as a kid for me was seeing Tommy return in "Return of an Old Friend", with his own theme song. That got me re-hooked and even more so when he returned as the White Ranger in "White Light". I stayed through till Lightspeed Rescue started, and lost interest. Picked the show back up during Dino Thunder, and went back and watched the series I had missed and realized Time Force was a great show.
Caught most of SPD (though the middle to end episodes bored me), and left the show again until I decided to give RPM a try. Got re-hooked, and I've seen every episode since, and dare I say it, every episode ever (minus a few Jungle Fury episodes).
Looking forward to the rest of Megaforce, how they do Super Megaforce, and the "Legendary Battle" finale!

I haven't watched every episode, but I will say that from what I've watched, Power Rangers RPM is my favorite. Not only did I find the characters to be likable and interesting, (yes, even Gem and Gemma,) the acting, story, and overall quality of the show was superb, reaching a standard most seasons don't even dream of. Yes, I love the show, but I love it for how fun it is, not for how masterful.
Ninja Storm will always hold a special place in my heart for being the season I learned about the Rangers.

I had watched Power Rangers consistently from Mighty Morphin all the way up to SPD, having stopped about halfway through Mystic Force.
Where lots of others dropped PR because they lost interest or "Grew up", I actually stopped watching simply because Disney made it so difficult to keep up with it. I couldn't keep up with Disney XD's sporadic and constantly shifting schedule to catch Mystic Force, and at the time, it wasn't readily available online to watch (Either that, or I just didn't know where to look).

The farthest back i go in my memories is Lightspeed rescue, i remember having one of two of the toys specifically the Blue ranger, i watched every single episode from Lightspeed all the way up to Dino Thunder, i had a hard time trying to catch episodes of SPD, i completely missed Mystic force (because i didn't even know it existed till it was ahalfway over.) and then after that point i didn't watch it until RPM. I skipped Samurai until earlier this year and now i'm watching Megaforce, in a nutshell i love this series.
Wild access!!

I had to rely on DVDs and vacations to watch Power Rangers back in the old times. I still have my old Navy Thunder Ranger figure, as well as every other Power Ranger toy that I bought.

Mine would be shift in to turbo I might be the only one that enjoy turbo regardless of Justin or the leaving of the old cast but I love turbo it more memorable to me yes I seen season 2 and 3 of MMPR due to I was 2 and 3 watching it but turbo was more memorable to me.

I remember watching Lightspeed Rescue. Thats the one show I can remember seeing when I was young. Of course, thanks to VHSs and DVDs, I also group up with the seasons before. I stopped watching after Mystic Force since with all the "growing up" stuff. But, Ive come back to see the seasons Ive missed. I never really had a DX mecha. Hell, my first one was the Samurai Megazord.
