MMPR Featured in Samsung Galaxy Smartwatch Ad

Posted on October 11, 2013 at 1:45 am by Kiryu under Power Rangers

The wrist mounted communicator is something that we’ve all dreamed of having someday. Samsung finally delivers on that concept with the Galaxy Smartwatch.

The latest ads to come out for this product features wrist mounted devices from various TV show and moves…and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are featured quite a bit in these ads. Check them out in the youtube boxes below:

The watch is awesome, and those commercials are filled with nostalgia! I must own one! I can't wait to be in a store or in a crowded area and start talking to my wrist.

So I wasn't the only one to notice this. It's pretty neat.

Am I the only one who thinks this is pointless? Isn't the whole point of phones now, that you can basically have near laptop level of tech, in your pocket? Why would you then want to shrink that down and basically lose all the innovation with phones? I mean beyond those with thousands to burn, that think the novelty of a wrist communicator is worth it.

I mean sure I like the concept, a wrist communicator? Cool as hell, but this just seems pointless.

I'd love to own one, but I'll wait til Apple has one before deciding which one to get.

Because why should I talk to my crotch when I can talk to my wrist? Besides, I'm sure the neighbors are tired of calling the police on me when I talk to Richard.

Actually, they're close, but it's not a true phone on your wrist. It's really just an accessory that bluetooths to a Galaxy Note, which happens to not only be the largest phone you can possibly put in your pocket, but the most annoying to put up to your ear. However, they are the first to beat Apple to the market. I anticipate the Iphone 6W soon, which will require the Iphone 6P to use, followed by the Iphone 7S, where the S stands for Suppository (UUUUHHHHHHHH I'm getting a TEXT ATTACHMENT!)

I saw the commercial on ABC a few nights back during "Agents of Shield", and found myself squealing at the use of MMPR footage.

Wow so its actually just a Bluetooth dongle with a wriststrap? It gets crappier by the second.

Well I for sure wouldn't wanna use it for long term phone calls, that's for sure.
