Mini-Pla ToQOh Video Review

Posted on March 16, 2014 at 12:53 am by Sentai Tamashii under Super Sentai

Mini-Pla ToQOh has been released in Japan, and video reviewers took no time to put up the video to show off just how amazing this new set is!  The Mini-Pla ToQOh has everything one could look for in terms of articulation, it may even put the suit actor to shame.  For those who have been hesitating in diving into the DX toy line, maybe Mini-Pla is the answer this year.

Are DX sized toys too large and unarticulated for your collection? Do you find Super Robot Chogokins to lack the combining gimmick that makes Sentai mecha special? Then the minipla/candy toy range are just for you!

The first one I bought was GokaiOh, and I instantly fell in love with the line. Over the last year I've bought all of the Gokaiger mecha releases (bar Starburst GokaiOh) and picked up the Go-Onger range too Sometimes the stickering can be a little annoying (the Go-Onger engine eyes spring to mind) but they're a satisfying smaller alternative to the larger toys.

I'm eagerly anticipating pics of the Gobuster line, but in the meantime I have the clear GokaiOh variant on preorder to tide me over.

I love the line, but I wish I have the time and all the paint required to make it REALLY awesome like A7 makes his.

Yes, or at least sculpt some of the details into the mechs themselves.

I have several Candy Toys myself:

    Ground Gosei Great
    DaiTenku Buster
    and of course Gokaioh.

I did hand paint them of course, a little bit of paint and these guys end up looking fantastic.

The minipla line has always looked really cool to me. It has the best of both worlds, combining AND posability. Unfortunately, I do not own any of them.

Let's not forget how addictive those little ramune candies are.

I'd love to get 'em personally. How tall are they anyways? Say, compared to a GI Joe?

I've no Joes to take a pic with, but this is pretty close right?

    Hope that helps

Here's a Gokaioh I finished painting a long time ago:

I recently got in to Minipla (Christmas actually!). I love these things but some of the stickers tend to not want to stay on (mainly wrap around stickers). So I've decided to paint them. What do you guys use to paint them? I've heard Gundam markers a couple of times. Thanks!

I hand paint mine, I used a combination of Games Work Shop Citadel Acrylics, and Tamiya paint. I honestly like the Tamiya paint a lot better.
