Last year we heard some rumors about an upcoming GARO anime adaptation. Now, the first official image and story details for this new project have been revealed!
The show will be known as “Garo: Honoo no Koukin” (Seal of Flames) and should begin later in 2014. The story will be written by long-time tokusatsu veteran Kobayashi Yasuko! This project is described as “…a completely original scenario, unrelated to any characters or stories we know.”

I think this might take the fun out of the show a little, for me at least. I get that being animation gives them unparalleled freedom, but part of the charm of toku is seeing them make the superhuman work in the real world. GARO's gorgeous wirework, its epic set pieces, its practical armours all of that greatness will be gone - obviously.
I guess if they use animation to just go totally fucking nuts I'll support this, but if this is just another GARO season...but animated you can count this a pass from me.
Golden Knight of this story's name is Leon Lewis, and takes place in a country called Variante.
