Good news for comic book fans!
Publisher Boom! Studios has reached an agreement with Saban Brands to produce a new comic series based on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers– with a series of posters that combine to form a six-page comic to be available at San Diego Comic-Con next month!
The comic series will focus on the Rangers during the shows’ first season and attempt to expand the Mighty Morphin universe with new adventures. Boom! has recruited writer Mairghread Scott along with artists Daniel Bayliss & Goni Montes for the SDCC exclusive issues.

Can't say that I'm familiar with Boom! studios, but it's nice to see someone working on a PR comic. I would actually prefer something Dino Charge related, but I can't say that an MMPR comic doesn't interest me.
If that image is anything to go by, I can already tell that I'm going to love the artwork. Hopefully the writing is good as well.

Ah! These are the guys that revived Darkwing Duck and Chip N' Dale's Rescue Rangers as comics a short time back...and then were forced to can them.
I'm interested.

This is really cool to hear.

Oh wow, these mini-comics are gonna be written by Mairghread Scott, who writes the Transformers Windblade comic for IDW and has written some TF:Prime episodes. Pretty decent credentials, especially compared to the stuff from Papercutz.

Does Boom have a history of making good comics?
musicfighter says
I haven't read any of their stuff myself, but have heard nothing but praise for their Disney comics.

I'm in to this only if it's good. The past so called power rangers comic books were not good.

Entertainment Weekly has an image of a Green Ranger variant cover: http://www.ew.com/article/2015/06/30...-rangers-comic
I'm almost certainly going to skip these, but it's cool to see them exist.
