Get ready fans of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers – the day you’ve been waiting for is just about here! On Wednesday, January 13th the first release of the brand new comic from BOOM! Studios, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Issue #0, releases at a comic store near you! Giving you just a taste of what’s in store, the actual first issue will release in March 2016 as the on-going series officially kicks off!
As we reported last week, we were lucky enough to be given an early preview of Issue #0 – be sure to check out our full, SPOILER-filled review – and now we’ve been cleared to share out images from this first issue! In light of not ruining anything for those of you who do NOT want to be spoiled, we should note that our images here are a few panels … nothing full page. On top of that, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to white-out the text balloons so you can enjoy the artwork (we picked some of our favorites) without any spoilers being given.
Check out just a few of the images by clicking the title of the story! And be sure to head over to your local comic book store and pick up Issue #0 of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers by BOOM! Studios!

I'm very excited to check this out. I've been waiting for a good Power Rangers comic for a long time. You know, since it first came out.

Sounds great. Even with the MMPR overdose that seems to be going on, this sounds like one of the better things to come out of it

I'm not going to lie - as I said in the review I was very skeptical going in to it. But the pacing was great, the artwork is beautiful (I think my all time favorite panel in the entire comic is when they're getting out of Jason's jeep ... just the angle of the reader's eye, the colors, the artwork) ... it's just a GOOD comic, and it's been a VERY long time since any Power Rangers fan could say that about a comic.

Also - preview images will go up next week. No images allowed in this review in case anyone is wondering.

I can't wait to find them all.

After seeing the preview pages on the front page I have to say the art looks pretty freaking sweet. I do hope if this comic actually is the one that becomes successful that we can get some comics based in the other series after the MMPR cast, would neat to see some expansion on Space, Lightspeed Rescue or Timeforce for example.

For those interested in going out today to purchase MMPR #0, this is is how the variant covers break down:
Red, Yellow, Blue, Pink, Black
Ship in equal numbers
For example, if your local shopped ordered 10 that means they got 2 of each
Green is a 1:50 Variant
Meaning if your shop ordered 50 copies they only received ONE. So it's pretty limited
White is a 1:100 Variant
Meaning if your shop ordered 100 copies they only received ONE. Making this one even more limited
Red With Dragon Shield
This is a ComicsPro variant that will NOT be available to most retailers. ComicsPro is an exclusive group retailers have to pay membership into in order to order exclusive covers, many smaller local shops are not members.

So I don't really buy comics that often so I am not sure where I could purchase a copy. I prefer digital, but I would be ok with a physical copy.

For the guy who loves everything, I didn't really care for this. Though the writer Kyle Higgins I only liked one of his books before normally I don't care for his writing. The art was good and I liked the other two stories in the book too.
