Sixteen years ago, Emu Hojo had his life saved by a doctor. That same doctor gave him a game device (think Game Boy Advance but not really because copyrights) for being so brave. Sixteen years later, Emu Hojo is now a doctor himself, having been inspired by the man that saved his life. And he still loves to be a gamer.
A young boy who has been suffering from bouts of dizziness is his patient. However, the cause has yet to be determined. Emu Hojo believes that it’s due to stress for the launch of a brand new game – MIGHTY ACTION X! His thought? Take the boy to the game launch and it’ll make him feel better.
Meanwhile, we learn that five years ago, some disaster happened and a secret organization is working to make sure that never happens again. Unfortunately, the boy collapses and it is revealed that he’s suffering from a new form of virus – a computer virus that can jump in to humans – and that his life is in danger. Suddenly, he transforms in to a large video game villain and begins terrorizing innocent people.
Asuna Karino, an unlikely ally to Emu Hojo, reveals that the only way to save the boy now is to use the Game Driver and Gashats to become a Kamen Rider, and to “operate” on the boy. She is looking for the mysterious master gamer known only as “M”, and was set to deliver the Game Driver to him. However, Emu Hojo takes the Game Driver and Mighty Action X Gashat and rushes to save the boy, transforming in to Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. He reveals in his speech that he is indeed the mysterious master game “M”, and he begins to battle.
After the victory and boss fight, Asuna reveals she’s actually a digital being and that Emu Hojo will have to conquer all 10 games to become the ultimate savior, Kamen Rider Ex-Aid!

Well the stream was a laggy mess. Sounded decent enough, but I barely saw more than a bunch of lag.
From what I did hear/didn't see, didn't look like a particularly groundbreaking first episode, but the teases with the other Riders at the end and other neat stuff was thrown in throughout. Fairly basic introductory episode but a lot of hints towards other things coming. Interesting that the first 10 Gashats are seemingly so significant.
Didn't catch everything though...did they get Taddle Quest after defeating the Salty Bugster? Is that's what's happening? edit: that is not what is happening. It just counted as a "Game Clear" for MAX. Which is interesting to me. Ex-Aid has been described as a Rider who needs to clear 10 types of games, the Gashats. But...most of them are going to different Riders. How is that gonna work? Is the team as a whole gonna have to do it then? Questions aplenty. And like, what even is the significance of clearing the games at all?

Very cool episode..
The Graphite Bugster has Gashacon Bugvisor....maybe he is Genm?
So...the brown boxes appeared after M transform into Ex-Aid...
Hmm....the Ex-Aid Level 1 vs human turned into Giant Bugster remind me to Wizard's battle against Phantom in human inner world but still looks interesting....
The brown boxes has Energy Coin for Ex-Aid and Ex-Aid obtain Speed Up Energy Coin. Really cool feature....
The fight against Bugster Virus and Salty Bugster also really cool......
Overall very good first episode.....

Oh floating boxes and all these graphic effects, how I'll miss you once the budget runs it's course.
I'm already in love with this episode and subs aren't even out yet. I enjoy how very Mario and Sonic Ex-Aid Level 1 is, and then we get a good fight scene with Level 2. I also enjoyed that giant blob monster, reminds me of Yellow Devil.
Also is the name of the first monster really the salty bugster?

Anyway, watched the lq raw, pretty cool episode now that I can see it properly.
The action scenes were pretty great, and in particular Ex-Aid's body language is friggin fantastic. The entire way he moved while initiating the Critical Strike, it was just beautiful. This is the first time in a while that the suits are unencumbered enough to really move so much in them, and it looks like they are really making the most of it.
Also noticed a few things: the selection screens are in the show, so we're probably getting 3 (?, couldn't count properly) more GD Riders. The colors on the edges of their squares appeared to be white, pink and...yellow maybe? For what that's worth. Probably not much!
And another, very very interesting thing: the game machine in what I guess is the main CR room is actually DoReMiFa Beat, and Poppi Pipopapo is actually one of the game's two mascots--alongside the guy with the headphones that's on the game art of the Gashat. This is extremely interesting. And I really want to know what it all means! Is she an AI? A Gamer robot type thing herself? Will she turn into the Beat Gamer, or is her robot friend something completely different? So many questions.

I enjoyed it. The action was fantastic. I know they'll eventually cut down on all the crazy jumps (lots of wirework) but it was a joy to watch in this episode. I love the suits, as I did from the very first time we saw them, so seeing them get such boisterous action is a huge plus. The Rider Kick was more like an onslaught of kicks and I had a blast with the way they pulled it off.
Emu seems like a fine main character, wants to help people out and has a past with a doctor that lead to him wanting to become a doctor himself. The fact that we didn't see the doctor's face leads me to believe he'll probably be important at some point or another.
Definitely looking forward to the next episode.
