S.I.C Mashin Chaser Release Details, Baron and Zangetsu Melon Energy Teased

As the perfect followup to the upcoming S.I.C Drive Type Speed, Hyper Hobby magazine showcases the release for S.I.C Mashin Chaser! S.I.C Mashin Chaser is seemingly(as of this post) a mass retail release scheduled to come out May 2017 for 9180 yen.

In the magazine, he’s shown using the Break Gunner and Wing Sniper so those should be part of his main accessory count, though it’s unknown if he’ll have the other Viral Core weapons at this time.

In addition to Chaser, the scan shows brief glimpses of S.I.C Baron Banana Arms and Zangetsu Melon Energy Arms, though details on those pieces are still forthcoming.

    I remember when I first saw that amongst the TN16 pics, I just assumed it was the SHF back on display for some reason and kept scrolling.

    I really enjoyed the SHF so I'm anticipating enjoying this as well. If the SIC line was getting releases more frequently like it used to, I'd wonder when, instead of if, we'd ever see some redecos with existing tooling like we've gotten in the SHF line.

    This just doesn't look all that different from the Figuarts version, although the chain on Cobra looks significantly better. I guess Chaser just fits the "Rider in a car wreck" SiC aesthetic particularly well.

    I guess in terms of Super Hero Time figure announcements, it's Drive month. Was that show just way more popular than I'd realized?

    There's a reason for that: The minds behind the SIC-figures created the Roidmude designs for the actual show. This includes Mashin Chaser, which is why the suit already looks like a SIC figure.

    And thus the figure looks a bit more like the suit than usual

    Yup, I'd heard that previously.

    As much as I like the Mashin Chaser suit & I like this figure, maybe the SIC figure should've come up with a super-conventional Rider design instead?

    So a double negative? If it’s already looking like a SIC design make a figure that is not SIC-like at all?

    I kinda like that idea

    Dayumnnnnn at that price. Hopefully it'll include a good chunk of what became an accessory pack for the SHF.

    SICs are usually good at being all in one packages for figures.
