UPDATE! Speculation no more – this release was actually revealed a month ago by RightStufAnime.com. Pre-order your copy today and enjoy it in June! Special thanks to @Soundout12 on Twitter for catching us up.
If you’re a Garo fan living in the west, and you’ve been itching for some more content we’ve got some excellent news for you.
It seems that Garo: Demon Beast of the Midnight Sun may have been confirmed for a western release thanks to a tentative pre-order link that popped up on Amazon. While the link may seem a little unusual, we have seen Shout Factory’s Super Sentai DVD releases confirmed via this method and animenewsnetwork has confirmed as such. Garo: Special Demon Beast of the Midnight Sun will be released June 26th 2018 at least according to the Amazon link.
Garo Special: Demon Beast of the Midnight Sun first aired in Japan on December 15th 2006 as a direct to TV movie. It was set after of the first Garo series, Kouga Saezima sets out to the northern district upon reassignment. While hunting down Horrors, a young priestess named Rin informs Kouga that she has been sent by Priest Amon to save a presumed dead friend in the Makai realm within Kantai, Jabi. Kouga teams up with Rin in a quest to save Jabi as they are hindered by supernatural and Makai forces alike. Meanwhile, somewhere in Japan, the dark Horror Lord Legules was resurrected and plots a means to alter a supernatural event called Midnight Sun within Kantai to plunge the world into darkness with his family.

Aka "Garo Special: Byakuya no Majuu", "Garo: Demon Beast of the Midnight Sun", or whatever your preferred name for the thing is. Sources say it'll be coming out in the US on or around June 26th. There's even an Amazon pre-order page (though no picture is shown, so still feels kinda sketchy). If true, this is frankly pretty confusing, as "Garo: Red Requiem" should be here around April 10th........meaning the movie that came out more than three years AFTER the "Demon Beast" special will be arriving on Western Shores more than three months BEFORE said special shows up on shelves. Garo timelines are confusing enough to follow as is!
I know several Garo newcomers who are watching the films and series as they are released on blu-ray, so releasing these things out of order is probably going to leave quite a few people pretty confused, or even angry when they find big plot twists spoiled for them because some movie or episode makes mention of a reveal from a movie Kraken hadn't gotten around to releasing yet. Hopefully, this is the one time this sort of mix-up occurs in terms of release dates.
So, assuming this is all correct, anyone here remembers these things enough to know if seeing "Red Requium" first will spoil anything from the special? For the sake of my friends, I AM curious if anyone remembers offhand whether there's any mention of events in "Byakuya no Majuu" in "Red Requiem". There were some pretty big reveals in that special, and I'd probably tell them to either wait the extra three months so they can watch the two in chronological order, or to just find the special online and check it out first.

We've gotten Shout Factory DVDs confirmed this way in the past, so suffice to say it could be legit.

So..... this was announced a good month ago: https://www.rightstufanime.com/GARO-...-Night-Blu-ray
Also as a side note, theres nothing in Red Requiem that spoils Beast of the Demok Night and in a narrative sense works much better in this order.
