I'm not going to lie, there is something about this figure that just doesn't translate well from comic to figure form, like it's missing some panel lines air something. This is accurate in terms of sculpt more or less, but it looks very plain.
And although Hadbro hasn't announced anything yet, I have a feeling they will end up producing legends style figures and a much better and more available version of Lord Drakkon at some point.
All in all this is great for those who want it, but for the price point and the look, I certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

Though I do have to admit I miss the days where Bandai was more daring with random figures. The 'extra ranger' stuff the did for RPM and other toylines were pretty cool. As were the "build a megazord" they did for even older series. And you can even see elements of that with the design team doing oddly colored random Ninja Steel megazords. But it does feel like since about roughly SuperMegaforce, that bandai has been kind of not doing as great with their releases as they once did. Though I did love some of the originality they tried with Super megaforce like the exo-suits. It kind of feels like a shame though. They could have done so well between the MMPR 4'' releases and the standard Jungle Fury style that Mega Force and Super Megaforce used. If they'd balanced that better to have two side by side lines, the toyline could have grabbed hold better instead of this really limited smaller figures Super Megaforce had.
Maybe if the had better market positioned their material like that, they wouldn't be losing the license to Hasbro. Though I really have to praise their push to doing these Legacy figures, as well as how they started doing monsters in Dinocharge. Really hope Hasbro keeps the standard 5-6'' main series releases. I outright want a Megazord Gamma from Gobuster/Beast Morphers in that 5-6'' standard to go with my minipla kits. And it is one of those rare style of toys that they could release one standard, and then its upgrade parts with other monsters like how the show worked in how they were powered up by the monster design.
Am a little sad we never got a Legacy Scorpina though. Or a BAF Goldar to go with the BAF megazords.
