First Look At S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Taiga!

Ultraman Taiga is the latest show in the franchise, and with the series having just premired last month, the time was ripe to add the titular hero to the popular S.H.Figuarts toy line with pre-orders having just opened(at the time of this writing) for S.H.Figuats Ultraman Taiga!

S.H.Figuarts Ultraman Taiga will be joining the December batch of Tamashii Nations mass retail releases. He will include four sets of swappable hands and an alternate color timer. All of this will retail for a low cost of 3250 yen.

    Y'know, after looking at this figure up-close, I kinda wish they'd designed Taiga's Color Timer to be shaped like Taro's Ultra Badge. It would've been a nice callback.

    But it's a cool-looking figure. Still wish I had the spare change for an S.H. Figuarts Zero though!

    You know what is great about Taiga? It's that while the basis for his look is from his father Ultraman Taro, he has hints of GARO and Dragon Ranger/MMPR Green.

    Zero is really good, perfect sculpt and paint with lots of cool accessories which work astonishingly well. Like, the hands molded to hold his Zero Sluggers are perfect, the Sluggers slide in so smoothly, it's oddly satisfying to do.

    Please elaborate as I have no clue about neither Power Rangers nor Garo.

    Welp, the GARO part was because his upcoming power-up Photon Earth. The way how it is mostly gold and black and how his horns are placed reminds me of GARO. As for the Green Ranger bit, if his chest piece was completely gold, his silver parts green, and his red parts white that screams Tommy for me.

    What would be messed up is if it was two pieces and each was assorted with Titus and Fuuma.

    I would be happier if it came with Taiga Photon Earth or Tri-Storium.
