Complete Selection Modification Kamen Rider W Driver Version 1.5 Release Announced!

Premium Bandai has announced the next entry in the Complete Selection Modification line for Kamen Rider Fans!

The W Driver from Kamen Rider W is receiving a new release- officially labeled Version 1.5. This version of the W Driver can actually be REMOVED from the belt, fully copying the in-series design. All 6 of Kamen Rider W’s signature Gaia Memories are included with the release.

A special lottery event at THE HENSHIN promotional show in Japan will offer fans their first chance to own the CSM W Driver Version 1.5. Preorders will officially open at a later date- with an estimated release window of February 2020. The price is a modest 16500 Yen before shipping and handling.

    It was announced along with "THE HENSHIN COMPLETE SELECTION MODIFICATION EXHIBITION vol.1" an event taking place December 7 and 8th.

    First limited run will be released at the event through lottery, the ticket sales begin next week. Normal preorders for a February run will open at a later date.

    Not many details about the changes, but they seem to be all about the looks and mechanics, the sounds will not be changed.

    We'll have to wait until next week for further info.

    Oh, man. I've never bought any roleplay stuff from Kamen Rider, but this is tempting.

    If I was looking to preorder this when it goes wide, what source do you all recommend? BBTS? Someone else? And what do you think I'd end up paying in USD to get this beauty?

    That looks almost exactly like the belt set I already have so I'm just wondering what the difference is.

    It’s got an extra strap to be more screen accurate

    I appreciate the extra attention to detail. I can be a real stickler for fine details myself and hadn't even noticed the changes to button color or the new strap. Really would like to have this myself.

    16500 yen translates to, uh, 150 US dollars.

    And the thing is, that's actually cheap for CSM belts. As a series it aims to be extremely high collector's grade stuff and I could only recommend it to you if you've got a lot of money to burn, or it means that extremely much to you. OOO is a series that I love and adore and hold close to my heart which is why I am considering eventually getting its CSM belt, but I'm not even considering any other.

    But is that what an American fan is going to end up paying? Since it's likely not going to be made available directly through non-Japanese channels, what's a vendor who ships to America going to charge? Am I probably going to be paying over $200 to get this belt?
