Real Action Heroes Shaider Revealed

Previously displayed at Wonderfest 2013 the last of the original Space Sherif trio sees his release, with Medicom announcing a Real Action Heroes Shaider figure!

Shaider will be released in October 2013 as a Premium Club exclusive figure. Retailing for a whopping 19,950 yen, Shaider is shown to include the standard arsenal of the Space Sheriffs: a Laser Blade and a pistol.

Yeah, an LED Gimmick probably would've justified the price. I'm just not seeing where Medicom is getting their pricing from…especially when a Figuarts does the job just as well for a fraction of what this costs.

Isn't this about the price of a Sideshow or Hot Toys figure? How does it compare to those? I mean, he has lots of vac-metal. That might be an expensive process, no?

The quality comparison is awful. Medicom figures break easily and often. Joints shear off, costumes tear, pieces pop off left and right. Unless they've significantly stepped their game up and I wasn't aware, they're generally pretty bad. But they look nice so there's that
