The first teaser trailer for the next GARO series has been posted online! The good people at The Tokusatsu Network have translated this video for fans.
Long-time GARO veteran Yukijiro Hotaru returns once again as Gonza, servant to the Golden Knight. Hotaru will serve as narrator/storyteller for Makai Retsuden as characters from the previous 10 years of GARO are revisited.
Makai Retsuden begins on April 8, 2016!
Retsuden is apparently an "anthology project" honoring Makai Knights from the past 10 years.

That still tells us nothing about the show.
I assume that it's going to be a bunch of single episodes or possibly mini arcs starring the different casts of the various Garo shows. So we'll ideally be seeing some Kouga and Kaoru episodes, some Rei episodes, some Ryuga and Rian, and some Raiga and Mayuri stuff. Maybe even some of the more minor knights from the recent seasons or, ideally, some Taiga.
I would totally be down for this show giving us a chance to see where Kouga and Kaoru ended up when they disappeared.
I'm not sure why, but I have a bad feeling this will just be repackaged episodes.
Yeah, it is probably going to be like a best of series where they take the staff's favorite episodes, or the highest rated episodes, and air them each week.
If it wasn't, they would have several trailers plastered all over the place by now and probably even have Amimeiya talking about it.
If they were doing a clip show, they'd have straight up said that's what this is going to be. That they're not telling much is interesting. Normally we'd have got a trailer and some idea of the cast months ago.
Chances are it's probably being kept a mystery because they want to keep who is returning a secret, like that's the point of the show to celebrate its history. They probably want us to keep thinking if they'll actually get the likes of Kouga and Kaoru back.
Like just look at Gonza in the preview for that video, he's being a ruddy tease.
Also is a clip show really in the style of Amemiya or anyone who's worked on Garo? Maybe one episode sure, but a whole series? nahhh son.
So this should've aired by now, right? It's the 9th in Japan and this was supposed to premiere on the 8th. So do we know what the hell it is now?
