The Holiday Season is here now that Thanksgiving is over and the time for shopping is upon us! But as we search for the perfect gifts for our friends and loved ones (and those new Power Rangers Movie and Power Rangers Ninja Steel toys) it is beyond important to remember that there are so many children out there whose families struggle just to put food on the table let alone gifts under a tree.
That’s where we all come in to play. The Power Rangers teach values of teamwork, respect, friendship, and helping those in need. What better way to take those lessons that they remind us of and put them to good use! We’re challenging all of our friends and followers to head to a local Toys For Tots drop-off location (usually inside big retail stores like Wal-Mart, Toys’R’Us, and Target) by Saturday, December 3rd, and Share the Power by dropping off a Power Rangers toy for a child in need!
And we want to incentivize you to do it.
Get a picture of you dropping off a Power Rangers toy in a Toys For Tots bin by this Saturday, December 3rd, and share that picture with us and the Administration team here at TokuNation.com will select our favorite picture to receive a $50 Amazon gift card. And our second favorite picture will receive a $25 Amazon gift card. That’s it. Give a Power Rangers toy, potentially win a gift card to buy yourself something!

Every year we give back to the fandom with our Toku Toy Box giveaway where we give hundreds (this year it's a thousand plus) dollars worth of Toku toys to our fans, friends, and followers. And while we enjoy doing it we also think it's important to recognize that, at this time of year, not everyone can enjoy cool toys from Power Rangers, Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider.
This year we've elected to do something we're calling, "Share the Power with Kids in Need - Toys for Tots". Up through this weekend (Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd) we challenge everyone in the community to head over to a local store that's taking part in the annual Toys for Tots and drop off a new Power Rangers toy, and take a picture of you and/or your family contributing.
The reason we're saying "Power Rangers Toy" and not "Toku Toy" is because safety regulations on toys in Japan versus the United States are different - so we're only asking to drop off Power Rangers toys.
But wait - there's more! We want you to share those pictures with us - whether it's on the forums in this thread, on our Facebook page, tagging us on Instagram, or tweeting us your pictures. The best picture (graded by the Admins here on the site) will receive a $50 Amazon gift card! The runner up will receive a $25 Amazon gift card!
When all is said and done we will post all the pictures up on the site. So please - join us in Sharing the Power with Kids in Need and donate to a local Toys For Tots drop-off bin by Saturday, December 3rd!
(NOTE: We put the cut off as Saturday, December 3rd as that is the last day that many places will have volunteers gathering toys. Donations after that date are possible but the big push is this weekend. Can we just cut out the middle man, and you send the 75 bucks to Toys for Tots straight away?
While I donate on occasion (Usually the cheapest TMNT figure. Yeah, I'm cheap...), I don't think I can participate.
Mainly because I only now have a method of taking pictures on the fly, and even then, I don't think I'd look good looking like a thug dropping a PR toy in a box
I thought Toys for Tots didn't want to associate with "violent" toys! Wouldn't PR unfortunately qualify?
