New Kyuranger candy toy line revealed

So Bandai just teased they're making articulated candy toy figures of the Kyuranger, with a prototype of Shishi Red shown off.

No other info was announced, but at least we'll have a nice alternative to Figuarts.

Indeed, some cheaper type of figures that is easier to amass would be more fitting for Sentai than SHFs, since the suits aren't that intricate designs as Riders and folks could complete their sentais for less than hundreds of bucks.

Really wish some previous rangers could receive the same treatment as well.

Oooh, I am very interested in this. An even more affordable way to get complete teams! At least, I sure hope they release the whole team. I feel like these would look great with the DX Mecha and might push me to start getting the DX stuff.

So-do style Kyurangers...I would honestly be all over that.

For the uninitiated, that is a SO-DO style action toy (please note that the line isn't named yet). The hip section of the leg on the prototype is very much the same part that Ex-Aid uses (probably from a Ride Player) and that's one of Ex-Aid's stands. If nothing else, this shows that Ex-Aid's SO-DO line was very successful and they want to try it on a other shows.

So...I'm interested. I like SO-DO. I'm not the biggest fan of Kyuranger, so it will depend mostly on who's in the first wave. If they give me half the team (6 ranger) per wave, I think I could do this. That also depends on if they split the figures into 2 boxes. I don't think they will because they are uniformed and non-uniformed in all the wrong ways to make that work.

Would they even split it? For a lot of the Ex-Aid figures, it was to allow a uniformity of the gimmicks (both Level 1 and higher levels) via parts-swapping. I think I have a few of the equivalent Gaim figures, and they were all single boxes.

I'm very excited about this, and yeah, smaller, cheaper figures make a lot of sense for this team. Come to think of it, the size of the team also makes a line like this to make sense.

I'm surprised and miffed that I never noticed a Kyoryuger candy toy line. Then again, I wasn't remotely interested until seeing pictures of SO-DO this year.

Neato! I hope the stickers are improved though. They keep popping off the Sodo figures I have.

You know, I would love this line, even with it's faults, but it's in the 3.9inch scale and that kills me. It won't fit in scale with anything else.

I wasn't butthurt when the Sentai figuarts died. A bit annoyed that we never got at least a Dekamaster or Dekabreak to finish the Dekaranger line but I could live with it. Then Kyuranger came out.
