Third Garo Series Announced

Thought you'd be seeing the last of the world of Makai Knights in Garo: Dragon of the Blue Cry? Think again!

The official Garo twitter account has just revealed that a new Garo series, entitled Garo - The One Who Shines in the Darkness, is coming soon. What's more interesting about this news is that it did not mention any of the original cast returning. Instead the main actor is said to be Wataru Kuriyama, and starring alongside him will be Junya Ikeda...better known as Gai Ikari/Gokai Silver in Gokaiger!

thats right Tokunation , the Golden Knight Garo will be back for a third season, the will be called “Garo – The One Who Shines In The Darkness”, (牙狼〈GARO〉～闇を照らす者～) according to their official twitter account announced just now. A second big suprise is that none of the cast list does not include original actors, instead the main actor is Wataru Kuriyama, a model and starring alongside him is Junya Ikeda, Gokai Silver from Gokaiger.

Director Makoto Yokoyama, who has worked largely on the previous versions of Garo, returns as the main director for this season. The other two cast are Miki Nanra, a fashion model, and Tsunenori Aoiki, also a new actor. There is no news at this time of any of their roles.

I'm thilled to hear this. I love the Garo universe and also welcome more even if the original cast doesn't return.

GARO!!! That is some beast news. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

What? Gai's actor is gonna be in Garo? I must torrent everything Garo and get caught up immediately!! This excites me ridiculously. Suck it Gai haters!

There is a very vocal group that thinks Gai was an annoying man-child who completely ruined the show. Don't know what the hell their problem is but I absolutely loved him. He was lively and fun compared to the other 5. Hope he brings that energy to Garo as well!

I am totally cool with them moving on from the original cast, but I wonder, does this mean the main character will have a new Armor, or will he still use the Garo armor(And if so, is Junya the new Zero)?

While I had no problem with the way Gai Ikari was, I hope the character Junya is playing here is a far cry than the way he was in Gokaiger. That's not the direction I'd like to see Garo go in.

I also hope the new character has different armour, so that there's the possibility Kouga can return.
