For those of you that might be just tuning in, Toho and Tsuburaya will be collaborating on a new Ultraman feature film called Shin Ultraman, helmed by Shin Godzilla director Shinji Higuchi himself.
At Tsuburaya Convention 2019, our friends at Toho and Tsuburaya just unveiled what the design could possibly end up looking like, and it seems like they’re sticking as close to the original design as possible.
There’s still much we don’t know about this movie as of this writing, hopefully as we head into 2020 more news breaks sooner rather than later. Until then, be sure to check back with us at Tokunation, and we’ll be sure to update you as soon as it becomes available.

Apparently, this is going to be the model they're basing Ultraman on for the upcoming movie. Seems like they're sticking as close to the original as they can.

I really like how slim he looks! It’s weird but just by making him slimmer he looks much more like an alien to me. And I suspect this is going to get even crazier once you see this design in motion.
I also think it's great that they're sticking so close to the original suit with this version.
EDIT: I just realized this is based on concept art for the original show; this new one doesn’t have a color-timer either!

Bro Ultraman must've been pissed that his new interpretation is skinny.
Neoblackdragon says
I thought Ultraman would be a little bigger.

I'm incredibly excited over this..
that concept CGI "Trailer" I found on youtube years ago is what got me to start watching Ultraman in the first place. So it feels like they're 'finally' getting around to making the movie I wanted to see years ago..
