FIRST LOOK: Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger Sixth Ranger- BunViolet!

We apparently have our first look at the SIXTH member of the Super Sentai team Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger!

The new Ranger in question is BunViolet– appearing in a violet uniform with yellow and white highlights.

BunViolet is holding a unique device, most likely his signature equipment- known as the Boonboom Controller in early toy listings.

More information on BunViolet should be released in the near future, so stay tuned to TokuNation for further details!

    From what I understand, Bakuage means 'shoot up', to what I assume is like fireworks shooting upwards, I wonder if the show will tone down the CG compared to Shugoddam

    I'm sure people will be hoping for a new pink ranger, due to the lack of one this year.

    Would be cool if they had another non-red face of the team as well, like Zenkaizer.

    People have mentioned the possible connection to Dynaman, but there's also Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger which had an anniversary in 2023.

    Romanization is a little off. ン before ブ would create an "m" sound, but not before ジャー. It's probably more like "Boomboonger" or "Boonboonger".

    The ブンブン part has me thinking of music while the bakuage part has me thinking of raising up the volume to super high levels. Even if that's not the case the way it's worded invokes high tension of some sort to me.

    As someone who stopped watching Kyoryuger primarily because they found it to be loud and obnoxious, I'm not immediately excited for this.

    In Japan, bun-bun is typically an onomatopoeia for buzzing or swinging something around like a baseball bat, along the lines of “whoosh.” But the romaji is clearly intended to evoke “boom boom,” like and explosion or crashing sound.

    Bakuage, 爆上, is interesting. It can translate to like, “blast off” or “shoot up.” It can also mean just “explosion.” But it can ALSO mean a burst of laughter. 爆 on its own means laughter.

    So the vibe of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger is like, an explosion of happiness that buzzes through you.
