NYCC12 – SH MonsterArts King Kong

Beautiful. The Peter Jackson Kong was the best choice here. This is a definite but for me.

He looks good but I just can't get excited for him. There's nothing special about him that we haven't seen in other articulated apes in other lines. I'm hoping we get one of the showa Kong's down the road.

I'd wish his jaw would articulate instead of either being stuck in a screaming pose forever or having alternate heads/faces. Is it that much harder to put a jaw joint in a flat mouth than it is a long one?

Oh wow. I was expecting the Toho KK when I first heard about this. But there it is, the Peter Jackson KK. I'm more interested in this now.

Think I may be screwed and just have to collect this entire line...

Dauym, that's a nice Kong. Suddenly wish I had the funds to collect the MonsterArts line even more.

Toho Kong I would buy. This one is nice but not something I would blow money on.

I know some are going to be upset it isn't the Toho version, but seeing as how this one actually looks like a gorilla, I am glad they went with it.
