Godzilla King of the Monsters S.H. MonsterArts Revealed

Posted on December 1, 2018 at 3:24 am by ZeoRangerV under Godzilla

The Tokyo Comic Con is currently underway in Japan this weekend and among the extensive displays from various companies is a special treat for Godzilla fans. Bandai Tamashii Nations have revealed their S.H. MonsterArts figures for next years Godzilla: King of the Monsters movie, with Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan and King Ghidorah on display!

This marks our first proper look at the three iconic kaiju that will be joining the King of the Monsters for this film, and though there have been some changes (Mothra’s body in particular) it’s clear that Legendary Pictures have remained relatively faithful to Toho‘s original designs.

Stay tuned to Tokunation for more news about these figures’ release as it comes, but in the meantime you can check out full-sized images of these fantastic re-imaginings after the jump!

Tamashii Pick-Up: S.H. Monsterarts Gamera (1999) Images

Posted on May 24, 2018 at 9:01 am by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

It’s that time of month again, for a release of Tamashii Picup images for upcoming products from Tamashii Nations! This week sees the release of preview images for two very different monsters.

S.H. Monsterarts Gamera (1999), as we reported on yesterday, is based on the creatures’ appearance in the third film of the Heisei trilogy, Gamera 3: The Revenge of Iris. The biggest draw of this release of course being the new translucent orange arm from the climax of the film. Gamera (1999) will be released in October 2018, as a retail release, for 10,800 yen.

S.H. MonsterArts Gamera [1999] Revealed

Posted on May 23, 2018 at 3:52 pm by ZeoRangerV under General Tokusatsu News

Although the S.H. MonsterArts line has remained a strictly Godzilla-affair for sometime now, it looks like everyone’s favourite child-friendly turtle will be joining the line once again with the announcement of S.H. MonsterArts Gamera [1999]!

Based on the monster’s appearance from the third film in the Heisei Gamera trilogy, Gamera 3: The Revenge of Iris, Gamera [1999] is a remould of the original MonsterArts Gamera figure featuring a new spiked shell to match the movie suit. The magazine images confirm that the alternate flight parts from the previous release will be carried over, together with a brand new alternate translucent orange right arm – recreating the final scenes of the movie where Gamera defeats Iris with a fiery plasma fist.

S.H. MonsterArts Gamera [1999] will be a mass release item released in October 2018 for the price of 10800 yen. Be sure to check out the full-sized image and let us know your thoughts after the jump!

2016’s Shin Godzilla brought the King of Monsters back in glorious fashion, and now Bandai Tamashii Nations have revealed a brand new variant of the film’s Godzilla design in figure form! S.H.
