After the recent official announcement of Hikounin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2 we have officially spotted filming of the series!
According to these images both Masato Wada (Nobuo Akagi/Akiba Red) and Karin Ogino (Yumeria Moegi/Akiba Yellow) are on set and filming. Sadly these pictures lend credit to a rumor that Akiba Blue actress Kyoko Hinami has been replaced by a new character in show. The rumored Akiba Purple may in fact be her replacement but that’s merely speculation.
Also revealed in these images is a brand new design of Z-Cune Aoi-Tan, the main character of the show within a show anime Nijiyome Gakuen Z-Cune Aoi! With Aoi-Tans’ redesign does this mean the Akibarangers will be receiving a new version of their MMZ henshin devices?

It does suck Kyoko Hinami won't be on the show, as she is one of my favorite characters. But eh, can't wait for S2 and to see the Akiba Purple suit.

If she really isn't part of the show, they should have her appear in suit for the first episode, with someone doing a horrible impression of her voice. Would make a great homage to the showa series and their unforeseen actor departures.
I wonder if Hatte Saburo is behind there being no Mitsuki...
To bad that she is not gonna be back, but I am always ready for new rangers!

It's just a rumor, and the fact that this picture doesn't show AkibaBlue here doesn't necessarily mean she won't be in the series. It just shows Red and Yellow hanging out or the like, much like that one episode where she started complying in sentai outfits.
