For Gekiranger that time is now! So this week we're watching Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger The movie, Nei-Nei! Hou-Hou! Hong Kong Decisive Battle!

Jan, Retsu, Ran, Rio, Mele, and various other fighters from across the world have been gathered for a secret martial arts tournament to decide who the strongest warriors are. Hong Kong is the backdrop and the mysterious Yang controls the tournament. What is Mechkung Fu? The key to victory is Goetsu Doushuu!

I love this movie so much.
A) Hong Kong backdrop for the fight, it was just so much more detailed than the mecha sets usually are.
B) GekiRinTouja......is there any sexier Mecha?
C) It's my Sig!

I got really caught up in Gekiranger again thanks to this LWW. I sorta started marathoning it and completely skipped this movie. Oops. I remember really enjoying it the first time, so I'll have to go back and watch it again.

This is one of the few summer movies that I think actually turned out really good. In fact, I forgot all about it when we were discussing them in the main watching topic a few weeks back. I love that Rio and Mele got their own mecha in this movie, and I love the entire combination.
