Rumor – Christopher Khayman Lee, Andros of In Space, to Cameo in Super Megaforce?

Okay, I admit to this one being a stretch, but the picture makes you think. We know from our friends via RangerCrew.com that the casting department of Power Rangers has reached out to a number of veteran actors and actresses from the "Saban-era" of Power Rangers (Mighty Morphin, Zeo, Turbo, In Space, Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force). We know that Blake Foster, who played Justin Stewart the Blue Ranger in Power Rangers Turbo was getting in shape for something, then flew off to New Zealand.

So here's a picture of Christopher Khaymen Lee. You know him best as Andros, the Red Ranger in Power Rangers In Space. So what's the big deal? Well, Lee is one of the more recluse former Ranger actors, and only recently was on an episode of the No Pink Spandex Power Rangers podcast. He wasn't forthcoming on whether or not he had been contacted for Super Megaforce, but seemed open to coming back for an episode or two.

So then this picture shows up. Christopher Khaymen Lee holding a In Space Red Ranger card, and seemingly in very fit shape. Oh, and with long hair to boot. Does this mean he's hinting that he's coming back? Do you want to see Andros make a return in Power Rangers Super Megaforce?

I disagree. Andros was one of the highlights of the In Space series, and his appearances in Lost Galaxy, and then again in Forever Red, were always pleasant. He just has a natural acting ability to the way Andros is portrayed - I never once sat back and thought, "Hmm, how is Andros REALLY supposed to be?" unlike I do with Troy, every second of every day.

Christopher currently looks more like Aragorn or Boromir than he does Legolas.

Troy does need an injection of personality. He reminds me of Bender when he lost his personality disk in the Master In-Pile, but sadly there's no Ranger Hermes to dance him his soul back.

I do like these past rangers coming back though, I do. I just personally never liked Andros. Though without him we never would've had the Battlizer, and I do like me some Battlizers.

RangerCrew.com noted that a prominent veteran female Power Ranger had already agreed to return for a cameo but had to bow out due to family reasons, because Saban took too long to confirm a shooting date.

Andros?

He's lookin' pretty odd with the facial hair

I hope he does don the robe again, that would be a nice nod to the first episode of In Space.

Andros and Carlos would be awesome to get back. Loved In Space a lot and they were some of the best parts of it.
