Mahou Sentai Magiranger continues on Let’s Watch Wednesdays at Tokunation!
The key has been found! The woman “Rin” is who the Magirangers must protect. But does she merely have the key, or is she the key itself? Or will she reveal herself to be something much more? Wolzard has finished amassing dark power as well. His chance to battle a Heavenly Saint has come. And the Hades Gate will appear, will the Infershia legions slip through? Will Branken actually be the victorious general at last? A new darkness will rise, very soon.
As always we’d like you to join us in our weekly discussion thread for LWW. Just click “Discussion the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to head right over!

Well, episodes 10-12 glitched, but I know the MF versions, and I wiki'd them, so I'm, for the first time, up to date. Small question though: when does MagiShine show up?
algo448 says
That was actually pretty awesome for Magiranger, I don't know what to say though.
Den-O says
I told you guys it gets awesome at this point!

This week was awesome we see our 1st saint and hints about what happened in the past as well as a Hard clue to the identity of Wolzard, and seeing FireKaiser is always awesome

The story was simple but engaging, the stakes were high, the battles pretty good, and since Kai is a really nice guy when it comes to outsiders, having the focus of the arc being Kai protecting Rin was actually pretty smart.
All in all it was pretty awesome.

I like the epic battle between Magired and Wolzard. After the battle, I think Wolzard let Magired use Barikion to escape. Because of this, Branken was
destroy and the Hades Gates closed! Wolzard would be label as a traitor because Wolzard helped out the Magi rangers. Still it was cool seeing FireKaiser!
Den-O says
Well Wolzard said once before that Barikion helped Magired the first time as a sign of respect. Repaying a favor too. So it could just be that Barikion still felt some degree of respect for Kai.

Watched episode 16. The plot's starting to get moving. I like what's happening.
But... Lunagel looks suuuuuuuuper lame. I was kind of hoping when she got her memories back, she'd turn out to be an amnesiac Infershia general. That would have been a hardcore twist -- especially with the crush they were setting up between her and Kai.
Instead, she's a Heavenly Saint. I guess that's cool too. Either way, she seems like a necessary serious counterpoint to the Magirangers' lightheartedness.

Episode 16 de gozarimasu superdesu
My extreme gratitude to whoever at TVN decided that they didn't have to transcribe Mandora Boy's verbal tic.
This was a good one. This episode felt much more serious and had relatively little bang-your-head-on-the-wall stupidity (at least when Houka wasn't speaking). It almost feels like a different show, but in a way that I like. I'm curious to see what comes next now that Lunagel and her ugly dress are here.
Random notes:
The music when Nai and the Human Mocking Bird visited Wolzard was awesome. Hope to hear it again.
The bit when the autistic girl was walking along the street in snapshots reminded me of the opening to one of my favorite Monty Python skits: the Cheese Shop.
"This is my magic crossbow!" "And this is my magic minigun!"
I love how Kai learned an important life lesson from the autistic girl when she barely did anything in the entire episode. And then he still got shot in the tits.
