It’s time for the original Legendary Rangers to make a move in this weeks extra sized installment of Let’s watch Wednesdays featuring Mahou Sentai Magiranger! This week we’re watching 4 episodes, 28-31, because next week it’s movie time once again!
The devil’s glacier, Evil Ice, will freeze the world for Infershia! A secret Houka wasn’t meant to know, and her memory will be wiped! And to stop the ice, the Magirangers will seek the help of the saint who gave their mother power, Snowgel! With Snowgel’s blessing their legend will finally be born. A new power has come, Legend Mode! And with the power of Legend Mode an even greater giant than Magi King will awaken, Magi Legend! But what cost will this new power place on our 5 heroes?

Remember, we're watching an extra episode this week (#31) to make up for next weeks movie, Dekaranger Vs. Magiarnager, throwing our schedule off.

28: I'd have to say this one my favorite Tsubasa spotlights, second only to the Cyclops episodes. He wants to save Rei from her crappy fate of being a lure for Neries till she recovers her singing voice. Also "SHUT UP!"
29: The forgetful Houka episode. This is a scenario that could get really scary in real life if you tell someone to stay put and then they forget you saying that to him. Once again this episode shows that no matter what, you can't keep the courage down. I question her trying to take Bullrates and Zee at the same time when she found out about the Evil Ice, but chances are if she just ran away the obligatory "noise that gives away someone was spying on you" would have happened. 30. It's time for some Chou Mahou Henshin! I love how they go from flips phones to staves with all finger loop dials. Gives you a sense they've tapped into some really ancient power. And I like that the suits gain design elements from their Titan forms.

28: My favorite of the bunch, Tsubasa's episodes continue to shine, also I loved the singing.
29: Houka minus Houka, the idea is interesting, and was executed nicely, it delievered fun, suspense and some genuine feelings.
30: Plot! New shiny forms courtesy of Snowgel, I liked it but it didn't feel like an standout for me.
31: Struggle! Their powers going haywire and the risk of losing their bonds was something I didn't expect, I like when there's a con to using the upgrades, otherwise we end up with a Emperor Kiva situation.
On the other hand the actual suit design I don't like much.
I actually really love the Legend designs. To the point that I almost don't miss the capes. Almost
The white doesn't work for me, but fair enough.
I think I might be done. I never got around to catching the movie last week and now the prospect of diving back into the show really doesn't appeal to me. I kinda like not watching Magiranger a lot more than I like watching Magiranger.
