Ultraman Victory Confirmed with Official Announcement of Ultraman Ginga S

Posted on April 8, 2014 at 11:59 pm by Chris under Ultraman

A lot of exciting news for fans of the Ultraman series. It has now been officially announced that the next Ultraman series will be Ultraman Ginga S, a sequel to Ultraman Ginga, and will feature the new hero Ultraman Victory. The new hero will be played by Uji Kiyotaka, best known as the actor who played the role of the Unicorn Zodiarts in Kamen Rider Fourze.

For fans of Power Rangers, beloved director and executive producer Koichi Sakamoto will be taking the helm as the main director for the series. His last job was none other than director for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, which is being adapted as Power Rangers Dino Charge in 2015 on Nickelodeon.

Ultraman Ginga S premieres on July 15th, 2014 and will consist of total of 16 episodes broken down in to two halves of eight episodes each. What are your thoughts on that crazy helmet design? Or the suit in general? Are you looking forward to the series? Discuss away on the forums!

Sakamoto directing Ginga S, an insane new Ultraman design, and... sure it's another Retsuden miniseries but at least it's a slightly longer one!

I wonder where they get the "Victory" thing from...

    That's heavy.
Somehow it has the Baltan features (head, and the scissors) and evil Ultraman color pattern.

I think I'm in love with that design. It's more akin to a Dark than an Ultra, at least in my opinion. I reminds me of Mephisto or Faust. But I love it. And actually I get pirate vibes from his head.

Well it looks really cool and since I'm getting into ultraman it's nice to see some new series come out for it. Now I enjoy seeing Ultra suits out of the usual standard, so yeah I like the suit.

Oh wow, he looks good! Maybe a little too much black though? I don't know.

Cool that we're getting a slightly longer series as well. Maybe we'll get a full series for the 50th Anniversary!
