Man, that was rushed. For a series that got an extra episode above the normal order, there was a lot of stuff that felt crammed into this one. When exactly did Ryuutaros get scared to fight? When the hell did Ryoutarou figure out all that stuff about Hana? It really felt like we missed some stuff here - not Kuuga vs. Daguva round 1 bad, but it really does seem like part of the story was skipped over.
Honestly, I think Den-O has a pretty weak ending overall. The last fight is pretty anticlimactic, Kai just kind of peters out as a villain, and the show never bothers properly explaining anything about what exactly is up with Airi and Sakurai. It's a really pity that such a strong show ends on such a bum note.
Well, "ends."
Not sure if I'm going to rewatch all of the movies right now. It's harder to budget those into my schedule, especially multiple ones in a week. I'll at least mention some of my thoughts on them here:
Climax Deka: Our first proper Heisei era Rider crossover. Technically. It's pretty obvious that the writers had only seen the first couple episodes of Kiva and had no idea what to do with Wataru (unlike Decade's writers, who had seen all the episodes and had no idea what to do with Wataru).
Final Countdown: This is clearly the point in the franchise where Takeru Satoh checked out. Not just because it's obviously his last appearance, but even in the film he feels like an afterthought. Good debut for Kotaro and Teddy, though. Also, for anyone who wondered when the Denliner would finally go to the future: here you go. Not really worth the wait, was it?

Funny, I just started Den-o. I am on 21. It's okay, but not great. Ryou is way too much of a wimp and kinda pathetic sounding. But that is just me.

I missed Adult Hana.
But I do like how they pulled together an ending out of this. Not terrible, but not my favorite ending of all the Rider series I've watched.
New Den-O makes....very little sense.
