On this date in 1954, a creature named Gojira stomped into Japanese theaters and changed the world of monster movies forever.
Today we celebrate the King of the Monsters’ sixtieth birthday! Godzilla has been through many adventures and faced many challenges over the years; fighting against giant insects, mutant plants and moronic American directors- but he’s beaten them all! The world of tokusatsu would be a very dull place without Godzilla’s adventures, and all of us at TokuNation hope for more new projects in the future.
There are far too many amazing moments in the history of Godzilla to list here, but one particular encounter remains a favorite among most fans, and we share this moment as a centerpiece for our celebration:
Feel free to join in our ongoing Discussion Thread and share your favorite memory of the King of the Monsters!
