It's time to start your year off legendary! Today we're pleased to bring you a gallery of the unreleased Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ranger Keys - Lost Galaxy Key Pack B set! We do not know the official origins of this package, only that we managed to grab it and we're sharing the contents with you! Rumor has it that these are going to be released in January at Toys'R'Us stores, so be sure to check often so you don't miss your chance to get these when, and if, they come out!
This key pack features previously unreleased Ranger Keys from the Power Rangers Lost Galaxy team - specifically the Yellow Ranger and the Magna Defender. It also comes with a translucent Green Ranger. As seems the norm, there is no Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger in this set, meaning instead that you're getting a second version of the Green Ranger. There is no word on whether or not the Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger, who holds a very special place in the hearts of the fans because of the character's rich story during the Lost Galaxy season, will ever be released.
The number one reason I wanted this pack in the first place is because of the inclusion of the Magna Defender key, which was one of my favorite characters from Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. I'm pleased to report that the key doesn't disappoint. Featuring a slightly larger head than the other Ranger Keys, and with his horns actually sticking out a bit more than you've seen on any other Ranger Key, I really believe that he alone is the stand out in this group of Ranger Keys. While the translucent Green Ranger looks kind of cool, it's kind of boring ... plus you've probably already got a translucent Mighty Morphin Green Ranger, and the only difference here is the head, stickers, and lack of sparkles. It just doesn't grab you like the translucent Operation Overdrive Red Ranger Key did from the previous pack. And the Yellow Ranger? She's just a mess ... she's incredibly unstable in terms of a key, the head is another case of "...oh GOD!", and the plastic, like the other yellow keys, feels unfinished on the head and the back. Now, whether this is part of the fact that these keys may not be final product versions is unknown - let's hope they get some polish by the time they hit stores.
Other than that ... they're Ranger Keys! There's not much to add to them. For those curious, the keys, when used with the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Legendary Morpher, say the following phrases:
Magna Defender: "Lost Galaxy!" (a second turn does the classic communicator beep)
Yellow Ranger: "Lost Galaxy!" (a second turn does the classic communicator beep)
Green Ranger: "Lost Galaxy!" (a second turn does the classic communicator beep)
THE GOOD!
THE BAD!
CONCLUSION!
This set is worth it just for the Magna Defender. Unfortunately, that means you'll be dropping $10 for a single key. If you also happen to be a fan of translucent stuff you'll be pleased, but the Yellow Ranger Key (in this version that we have) is just not worth it and could be good for display but I'm personally afraid that too many turns in the Legendary Morpher will mean a broken key at some point.

This line got pretty odd when the doubles stopped being reds and just ended up being anybody but pink

That yellow looks terrible, bu Magna Defender looks pretty damn good... So split on whether or not this is worth even looking at...

I've never been a huge fan of the Defender, but that's a darn good-looking key. I actually like the repacked green, too - trans-green always looks awesome. It's a shame yellow looks so crappy, otherwise I'd consider picking this one up.

Let's hope it gets released. I mean, it's Magna Defender!

Translucent keys aren't really my thing and while yellow plastic isn't as strong as other colors normally the shared issue of the Yellow keys is just sad at this point.
They knew that little boys only want the guys and of course I highly doubt the line at this point will be more than just 6th Rangers and clear keys. It's a line meant for diehard PR fans; which doesn't include me.

hmmm ok were's the pink key?
Blinded No More says
Are BoA sexist or something? First they were going to make Dricera purple, now they refuse to complete teams just for the sake of not including a pink ranger key. Do they think boys in the US are that biased?

Given that I'm a toku fan from the Sentai end only, I'm very curious about Magna Defender and the other created-for-Power-Rangers characters.

I love this key set but GOD, Kendrix/Karone would have been better choices than a translucent Damon key.
