Toei has completed a press conference on the first Project R.E.D. series Super Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity!

The conference confirms Gavan Infinity takes place in a MULTIVERSE of Space Sheriffs- each hero has their own world to protect!

Primary universe in this story is Earth A0073 home to Gavan Infinity- Reji Doki! Played by Kouhei Nagata Gavan Infinity serves the Earth Branch of Galactic Federal Police in the Documents Division. He is described as an angry young man with a firey sense of justice.

Reji is aided by AGI- Artificial General Intelligence– a sentient program played by Kohana Arisaka.

First stop on the Multiverse tour is Earth Λ8018– home to Gavan Bushido! Bushido is named Setsuna Aikokuin (played by Ryuga Akahane) and despite his youthful appearance is actually an artificial human created thousands of years ago whose greatest goal when traveling among worlds is to learn human emotions.

Next, Multiverse Earth Ι5109 is protected by Gavan Luminous– true name Kiki Iwai (played by Kokona Sumi). Iwai is a Forensics officer with superb analytical skills and a joy of knowledge. Aiding her is best friend and fellow officer Kotobuki Takanari played by Lana Tanida.

A link between the universes is a strange new power called EMORGY which is fueled by emotional beings and contained within small devices known as EmorGears.

Writer Atsuhiro Tomioka (most recently of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger will helm the series with Hirofumi Fukuzawa serving as director. The shows’ theme song is titled LOVE IS THE STRONGEST performed by May’n.

Today is the last day of 2025 and with it comes the depressing realization that for the first time in many of our lives, there will be no Super Sentai series in 2026.  That’s right – Super Sentai has effectively ended after 50 years, being replaced with a new project from Toei (Project R.E.D.) in 2026 and beyond.  So with that in mind, we asked our staff to list their Top 3 Super Sentai series of all time!

Project R.E.D. kicks off with Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity– an adventure with a TRIO of Sheriffs!

*The titular Gavan Infinity in red armor, armed with the signature weapon Gavarion Trigger.
*The blue/silver Gavan Bushido armed with a Gavarion Blade.
*The female Sheriff Gavan Luminous armed with the Gavarion Scissor.

Aiding the Sheriffs is the Giant Spaceship Robo Cosmo Gavarion GC-R– a ship with a Mecha configuration.

The Space Sheriffs will be arriving in February 2026!

TV-Asahi has officially announced that the Super Sentai franchise will come to an end after fifty years, with No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger being the final series under the banner.

The recently-announced PROJECT R.E.D. will take over the Super Sentai timeslot, serving as an option to launch new heroes and franchises.

Toei has announced a new tokusatsu project intending to focus on heroes beyond the realms of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai–

This new venture is titled Project R.E.D.– short for Records of Extraordinary Dimensions.

The first hero of this new Project R.E.D. was previously hinted at via trademark: Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity! Infinity is a new story set apart from the original Gavan series but hopefully retaining the spirit of the first production.

A partial teaser for the new Gavan Infinity suit is shown, hinting at this new hero with a red metallic armor suit.

Further details about Project R.E.D. and Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity are expected in the near future!

A new trademark filed by Toei hints at the return of the Metal Hero franchise by the infamous Space Sheriff Gavan!

This new registration for Space Sheriff Gavan Infinity is now confirmed, offering a chance to see his effect one more time.

Could this new project be the long rumored replacement for the Super Sentai franchise? Only time will tell!

This past weekend was Los Angeles Comic Con (LA Comic Con) and for the first time ever, Kamen Rider was officially in attendance at its own dedicated booth.  With special thanks to Toei, we can share a recap of the events, including the panel with Kamen Rider Zeztz producer Hideaki Yanaka and a video recap from Toei.

Here are the highlights from Kamen Rider‘s first ever official LA Comic Con appearance:

  • Kamen Rider ZEZTZ panel with special guest, ZEZTZ Producer Hideaki Yanaka – Producer Hideaki Yanaka shared insights into how ZEZTZ was created, explaining the thought process behind the world-building and components that shape the series. The panel drew a full house, with fans lining up to ask questions, reflecting the deep enthusiasm surrounding Kamen Rider’s future. He also revealed that the secret of the heroine, Nem, will be unveiled in Episode 6, giving fans a thrilling hint of what’s to come.
  • World Simulcast Spotlight: Kamen Rider ZEZTZ – Fans are able to watch the latest entry in the franchise, Kamen Rider ZEZTZ, the first Rider series to simulcast globally with English subtitles.
  • North American screening of the movie, “KAMEN RIDER W Forever: A to Z / The Gaia Memories of Fate” with English subtitles – A special screening of the movie from one of the most beloved Kamen Rider entries, Kamen Rider W, for the first time at Comic Con.
  • Kamen Rider ZEZTZ Meet & Greet – The first Comic Con booth for the franchise featured Kamen Rider ZEZTZ in person to meet fans, a first for fans in North America.

Here is Kamen Rider Zeztz producer Hideaki Yanaka with a few words for the appearance of Kamen Rider in the United States:

“The passion from the fans has been even more incredible than I expected. Meeting Kamen
Rider fans not just from the local area but from around the world who came a long way to be
here has been truly inspiring. It is through the support of passionate fans like you that this series
will continue to grow and thrive globally.”

Yanaka also spoke on the creation of Kamen Rider Zeztz and his vision for the franchise:

“From the start, ZEZTZ was created with international fans in mind, while also staying true to the
old Kamen Rider series. The series modernizes the story and concept so new audiences can
understand what makes Kamen Rider unique, while including Easter eggs and callbacks to past
series for longtime fans to enjoy. Our goal was to create something that Western audiences
could relate to, similar to American superheroes.”

For the first time ever, fans of the Kamen Rider series are going to be able to watch new episodes of the current Kamen Rider, officially, the same release day (technically).

Tokushoutsu, part of ShoutStudios, in partnership with Toei, will premiere Kamen Rider Zeztz (with English subtitles) in North America, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand on Saturday, September 6th at 7:30pm PT/10:30pm ET.  This is an hour and a half after the Japanese premiere (which happens at 9am Japan Time on Sunday, September 7th).

Episode 01 will officially premiere via Tokushoutsu YouTube Channel.

Replays of the episode will occur the next day (Sunday) at 9am PT/12pm ET, and again on Fridays 5pm PT/8pm ET.

Episodes will NOT be available to stream outside of their premiere time slot and replay time slot.  If you miss it, you miss it – until it’s replayed in the future.  Tokushoutsu has stated there will plenty of opportunities to watch previous episodes in the future.

Tonight was the official introduction of the next Kamen Rider series- Kamen Rider Zeztz!

Some highlights from the event:

*Kamen Rider Zeztz’ true name is Baku Yorozu played by actor Ryutaro Imai. Baku is a luckless young man obsessed with spies and secrets. One day when badly injured Baku finds himself in a dream world, recruited by an organization named CODE to fight creatures called Nightmares responsible for attacks on humans.
Because of the Nightmare attacks two police officers- Tetsuya & Nasuka will pursue both Zeztz and the monsters.

Baku’s greatest ally is his younger sister Minami (actress Yagi Miki.) Joining CODE will bring forth a new rival named Nox (Furukawa Yuki)who helps guide the Nightmares into reality.

*Zeztz’ motorcycle will take on a robotic form- becoming a character known as ZERO voiced by actor Jay Kabira.

Veteran Kamen writer Yuya Takahashi will return for this new series, with fellow Rider veteran Kazuya Kamihoruchi directing.

The opening theme for the series is VISIONS by NAQT VANE.

Kamen Rider Zeztz premieres September 7 2025!
