Though we’ve seen official images and display pieces of the final production S.H. Figuarts Tridoron, Bandai has just treated us with a special look at this upcoming vehicle with a look at the earlier stage of the production process.
These S.H. Figuarts Tridoron images give us an idea of what an unpainted sample/prototype looks like mid production. It’s an interesting set of photos for sure. What’s more interesting perhaps is that these photos reveal is an accessory previously only listed on Tridoron’s order page as “replacement body parts”. In actuality it’s a new flat tire mid-section replacement for Drive’s back, one that allows him to sit back flat against the seat of Tridoron!
This is definitely one heck of an interesting look at one of the more hotly anticipated Figuarts releases for 2015.

Bandai just released these really nice high-res shots of an unpainted sample/prototype of S.H. Figuarts Tridoron. A very very cool look at a Figuart mid production.
Also these confirm that a new tire mid-section is included for use with Drive. One that can give him a flat back to sit properly in the drivers seat.

Even if it's just an unpainted sample, Tridoron looks pretty cool in black! Glad to see the flat-backed tire inclusion as well, I was actually wondering how well he was going to be able to sit with his tire.

I'm guessing that the tire part is similarly unpainted; I can't imagine that Bandai would leave it in that color.
(In retrospect, it's probably to highlight that it's a new part.)

So is this what the lucky draw variant will look like?
Man I love test shots, they really bring out all the detail. Plus this one is pretty snazzy, not many test shots are done in black and gold.

Now I want a black-and-gold variant release .

Now I'm hoping for a Batmobile at some point Bandai.
