Legacy Ninja Megazord Packaging Images

Posted on September 10, 2016 at 8:01 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Courtesy of our friend @PowerRangersTalk on Twitter, we have our first look at the packaging for the upcoming Legacy Ninja Megazord figure due out in October! These images were found on the Amazon image server. As like the Legacy Falconzord, the Legacy Ninja Megazord keeps the style of original movie packaging.

What do you think? Are you planning to pick one up, or is this a pass? Sound off in discussion!

I thought they'd do the movie packaging.

I would actually pay the asking price for this if it looked like the Megazord in the movie.

When I was a kid, this was the first Megazord that I returned to the store because I was so disappointed in it. After spending $60, I was let down by how simple it was compared to the previous Megazord designs and it did not resemble the movie version. I didn't realize at the time that it was supposed to be based on the TV show version (which had not aired yet).

    Memories...

I thought it was going to be released in November aka my b-day month lol. Well it is still worth the $110 of picking it up. If i can blast my wallet when my dumb self couldn't wait and ended up with 2 legacy thunder megazords and ended up selling one, then yes i can definatley pre order the legacy ninja megazord ASAP. And all this time I thought it was going to be released in spring of 2017. So i guess the legacy shogun megazord will be the next release sometime in spring to summer of 2017 and i cant wait until they release the legacy GREEN RANGER helmet. Well no matter what month the release is of the legacy ninja megazord weather its a month early before its official release date, we have the images, we have the prototype shown at the San Diego Comic-con, we have the official images of the box of both the ninja megazord and helmet. Now its time for the official release as we are in the middle of September awaiting.

It would be preferable if they did do a Movie style version using a new mold based on the original CGI Model. It could have metallic-style finish and near perfect transformation. The only tangible accessory would be the Shogun Megazord Saber which was used for the Ninja Megazord "Power Sword" in the film, but they might have to make the tongue of the Frog a separate piece to work with the design. The main question is whether to issue a Movie Falconzord or let this presumed version combine with the existing Legacy style? There isn't that much difference in appearance save for some higher budget cosmetics. Even if Bandai detests this idea, could they do a screen-accurate, 5 in. version?

P.S.: Who owns the Movie with the rights to release?

P.P.S.: Should anyone at Bandai consider other Movie Legacy figures: Mordant, Movie Zedd, Movie Goldar, Temple Guardians, the Ectomorphicons?
