MMPRToys Visits Bandai – Poisandra Figure Revealed, Updates on Legacy Items

Posted on December 15, 2016 at 8:38 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Bruno from MMPRToys recently visited the headquarters for Bandai America and sat down with the powers that be to discuss all things Power Rangers. While there, he was given an exclusive first look at the upcoming Power Rangers Dino Charge Poisandra 5″ figure, which was made possibly due to overwhelming fan-demand. Here are the bullet points you need to know of the visit:

  • Poisandra figure close to being done
  • Silver belts on Legacy MMPR Wave 02 figures an accident, NO RE-RELEASE OR FIX PLANNED
  • Accessories for Legacy figures made just working out details on how to get them released
  • Legacy Ninja coins are coming in a gift-set, no need to re-purchase morphers

That sucks about the belts. They're such an awkward thing to fix and look good, too. White over silver? Ugh.

Bandai keeps assuring us about the damn weapons, which they wouldn't have to do if the damn things just came with the rangers to start.

One of the main reasons I don't collect the 6-inch legacy line is because it seems like Bandai is being cheap and the figures are $20 EACH. Is it that expensive to make a small piece of plastic molded to look like a weapon? The 5-inch line did that for $10, even if it was unpainted. Look at the stuff you can get in a $20 figurart, hands, accessories, and maybe even a stand (not with Rider though), if Bandai wants to reach the collectors' market they have to go another level up from the kids' line. They're not even accurate with steroid muscles, can I at least get an Astro drill with my PRIS Red? Why not just use the extra plastic used to make the muscles into weapons?

I hope this is kind of a message to Bandai that people want the weapons for future releases, so that figures after this upcoming wave (If the line lasts that long) will just have the rangers' signature weapons in box with the build a zord piece.

They did make weapons though, they just haven't released them.

It's not even a question of why they haven't made the, they're made. We've seen the Powersword and Powerdaggers. It's even more befuddling than you make it out to be.

    You're being too generous.

...The figure would be a separate exclusive.

If they just made a straight up exclusive set for the Power Weapons, I don't know if I'd be angry or end up dying of laughter.
