Max Factory has a very left field announcement, with the recent reveal of a Figma Kuroko currently in the works.
Fans of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger might recognize this particular character as the servants working for the Shiba Clan, they help set the stage for the Shinkenger’s grand entrance and these look to stand perfectly with Bandai’s S.H.Figuarts Shinkenger releases.
However, don’t get your hopes up thinking that Max Factory will be picking up Sentai characters for release: while Kurokos are featured quite prominently in Shinkenger, they are in fact part of Japanese culture. Kurokos are stagehands in Japanese theatre, they dress in black and work behind the scenes to manipulate props and scenery akin to their role in the show. They are not exclusively a Shinkenger thing, so DO NOT expect Max Factory or Goodsmile to release Super Sentai figures.
None the less, the Figma Kuroko looks to be a good representation of the character, and will see a March 2018 release, retailing for 4,980 yen.

Since I am not about to be outdone by those other guys, here is a thread for figmas.
i'll have reissue miku coming my way at the end of the month, so excited
Barricade64 says
The only Figma I have is Torque/Zolda and I generally like it. I'd like to get more of the line but they're just not as accessible as & tend to be more expensive than Figuarts. I've got an anime convention in March so I'll probably get another while I'm there if I see one I like for a good price.
DaiRiderRX says
Yeah my figma collection started this past february with the figma of vocaloid luka, and its been all downhill since, cause you know, i am obsessed with luka
Shin Densetsu says
How do these compare to Revoltech?
DaiRiderRX says
^i personally perfer figmas to revoltechs
ZeoRangerV says
Yeah, figma all the way when it comes to humanoid characters. I love Revoltech, but they just don't pull it off quite as well as figma.
I've only got the Evangelion ones, but I have Ika Musume preordered for March. I managed to get my girlfriend into figmas too so I enjoy messing around with hers too
Barricade64 says
From my experience, it seems that Figma and Revoltech both embrace the "universal joint system" concept, but with Figma there are no ratchets in the joint.
Paladin says
OK, they have my attention.
Brainchild says
I only have Yui Hirasawa, but glorious Yui Hirasawa is. I've got my sights set on eventually grabbing some anime staples like Haruhi Suzumiya, but Ika Musume, Sun Red and the Nintendo characters coming out might keep that on hold.
