Bluefin Reveals S.H.Figuarts Helmetless MMPR White Ranger

Posted on June 6, 2018 at 4:27 pm by Kiryu under Power Rangers

IT’S MORPHIN TIME!

If you’ve been keeping up with our SDCC coverage than you may know that Tamashii Nations plans on releasing Helmetless versions of the S.H.Figuarts MMPR Red and Green Ranger exclusives.

In a surprise reveal, BlueFin Brands announced that their face scanning technology will be put to use on another release of the S.H.Figuarts MMPR White Ranger, the announcement came from BlueFin Brand’s official website.

The S.H.Figuarts Helmetless MMPR White Ranger doesn’t appear to be among the exclusives for SDCC. His official product page lists him for $65.00 USD with a release date slated for November. This is the perfect opportunity if you were one of the many that missed out on this figure the first time around.

From Bluefin's official website, they've just confirmed that a reissue of the S.H.Figuarts Mighty Morphin White Ranger will be happening, this one will come with a new accessory: an unmasked Tommy Oliver head.

Releases in November 2018 for $65.00 USD. More info can be found on Bluefin Brand's official page here:

Did regret passing on the original release, so this is really cool!

Plus this way I can have a Tommy head (nice that it's different for those getting both) without shelling out for an SDCC exclusive too heh.

Am I the only one thinking that there is no actor/character likeness to Jason David Franck/Tommy? It looks super cheap...

I can kinda see the likeness. Do take into account that this is Jason David Frank 20 years ago

Yeah yeah, unmasked 3D Tommy head, whatever.

Does he come with more than 4 hands now?

I think it's funny how Hasbro has far better resolution in its face-printing technology than Figuarts, which needs some work. Also, you'd think they might put in a little effort in to making a 2.0 ranger body where the articulation doesn't cut into the sculpt so much? Doesn't seem like much, if any, effort was put into this figure. Basically $64.99 for almost total re-use.

Wait, does this have new hands? Because I'm gonna be pissed if I have to buy this again.

Maybe the green candle and that fabric dragon shield.

I know it would be ostensibly inaccurate, but if they're making new heads, now would be a really good time to do a set of alternate helmets based on the Ninja Coin animals. That's something the original show should've done.

Oh, cool! I have no desire for a JDF-Power Rangers head, but I missed out on the original release of KibaRanger, and I love those Dairanger designs.
