IT’S MORPHIN TIME!
A plethora of new Funko Pop vinyl figures from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was revealed today, and as you might’ve guessed from the title: these new Pop vinyls are the massive Dino Ultrazord, Tigerzord, along with a group of villains: Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa, Pudgy Pig, and Pumpkin Rapper taking center stage.
According to our friends at PowerRangersNow, Pudgy Pig, and Pumpkin Rapper will be sold as GameStop exclusives while Rita and Zedd will be sold in a two pack exclusive to Books-A-Million
Meanwhile, the large-scale Dino Ultrazord Funko will be exclusive to Target, and the Tigerzord will only be sold at Hot Topic. Finally, we have a set of helmetless Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team these six are the only ones that will be released at mass retail.

Funko Pops of the Dino Ultrazord, Tigerzord, and Pudgy Pig will be released
Dino Ultrazord will be a Target Exclusive while the Tigerzord will be Hot Topic Exclusive.
According to Power Rangers Now, Pudgy Pig is exclusive too but we aren't sure of what retailer as of yet.

Oh wow, such nice surprises! I sure hope the Dino Ultrazord will be available somewhere in Canada since we don't have Targets anymore.
Definitely looking forward to the villains though and possibly the Tigerzord although I dont have any of the previous Pop zords.
Oooh, Dino Ultrazord looks pretty great! Kinda sucks that there's no Target in walking distance for me, I'd love to get my hands on one!
If they have to specify "Dino Ultrazord," I wonder if that implies they are planning on more.

The Alien Encounters Book is out (have a copy), and that MIGHT reignite interest in MMPR Villains, and many never got the figures they deserve! Imaginext started something, and Funko continues with it!

Definitely want that Dino Ultrazord and Tigerzord. Those are neat!
I just realized that the black reprint Megazord will most likely get a new name by Hasbro.
The SOC Silver black and Green one though might. Especially if they ever find a reason to use it in a show or other media because of how cool it is.
Name changes will only happen to new material going forward. Past already named material is legacy/heritage based and really can't be changed. Unless a story-centric reason is made through the comics or a different medium. Which makes it a different 'version' of that same color swap as a different character.
The Black and Gold repaints were 'celebratory' repaints that date back to the early days of the show itself, as such, are "Legacy items" of brand/franchise heritage. But a new character that happens to use those same colors and appearance is a new character.
