2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the legendary Kamen Rider franchise, and a big anniversary calls for a big celebration!
Toei has officially announced that they will be uploading episodes of Kamen Rider to the Toei Tokusatsu World channel on YouTube with official English subtitles. The current plan is to release 1-2 episodes a week, encompassing EVERY Kamen Rider series!
This is a monumental opportunity for Kamen Rider fans to view the franchise in full official detail.
Kamen Rider will be added to Toei Tokusatsu World beginning January 16, 2021!
Paladin says
to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the franchise, Toei will be making episodes of Kamen Rider available on the Tokusatsu World Youtube channel with official English subs.
Releases will be weekly, Saturday/Sundays, 1-2 episodes at a time.
ALL Kamen Rider series will be uploaded.

Holy shit, go Toei.
So like just so I don't misunderstand.
They're essentially subbing and releasing EVERY series over time?
Enchilada645 says
Huh, wonder what they mean when they say selected episodes. Or rather I'm curious what selected episodes they'll do.
Reminds me of how Tsuburaya would do it and bring in related episodes to whatever was happening in Z that week.

I guess it's understandable, but it says that for the 50th anniversary they're releasing 1 or 2 episodes from every series, not all of the episodes.

Wonder what this means for ZX, ZO and J though. Might just get their full movies alongside Shin.
GurrenPrime says
This is the biggest win for foreign rider fans ever. What a way to end the year.
Kurona says
... honestly, I dunno; this kinda sucks?
If we get full ZX, ZO and J off of it - because there's nothing else for them - then that's awesome, but 1-2 episodes of each is like. Okay? At least with other series on the channel like Gavan it seems they eventually done all the episodes, but this is pretty paltry and kinda pointless. Fun if you already like these shows so you can look back on their first episode or something but ultimately frustrating if you want to see more, just leading back once again to illegal fansubs.
Also, the site notes that 'viewings may be restricted in some areas', so I can't wait for this to probably be America-only again.
Shin Henshin says
It does kind of suck that Toei seems really hesitant to pull a Tsuburaya and just start uploading Rider series onto their YT channel for a limited time, but I mean if baby steps can lead to them finally giving in and doing it, whatever. I'll take it.
I assume the "select episodes" will be memorable or iconic episodes/arcs from each series, given the celebration angle.
Enchilada645 says
I just hope they're kept up for a super long time unlike the Gaim Movie, it was a shame it didn't even last 24 hours before being pulled like that.
Mostly for people who didn't really have the time to see it live and were hoping it would be available for some amount of time.
GoldenXtreme says
Neat, but kind of insubstantial. I hope maybe it does lead to some fully subbed series being uploaded later though.
