Medicom MAFEX Shin Ultraman Revealed

In the midst of all the Shin Ultraman hype following the recently released teaser trailer, Medicom have revealed they too will be joining the merchandising train with the announcement of a MAFEX Shin Ultraman figure. So far this reveal only consists of a teaser image of the figure, so how this will differ from Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts offering outside of sculpting is still unknown. We’ll update you on accessories, release date, pricing and any other news as it comes!

    I only expect three things from this.

    1. It'll come with a Specium Ray
    2. It's gonna cost more than Bandai's 50$ counterpart
    3. It'll release in 2027

    Makes me really hope that they start making figures for the other Ultramen. I've loved the MAFEX line ever since their RoboCop figure.

    Can't go wrong with MAFEX, but yeah probably gonna be very pricy.

    One change I did notice is bicep swivels, Figuarts doesn’t really do those anymore if it breaks up the sculpt too much.

    LOL, you can go very wrong with MAFEX actually. Their QC is nowhere near as good as Bandai's.

    Some of the Spider-Man figures are flimsy as hell and with how spindly Shin is, I'm already very wary.

    Dang, I always thought they were nice cause of the details but I assume this is from personal experience with them so I will take your word for it. How bad is it by the way? Are we talking Wile E Coyote-after-hit-by-an-anvil level of wobbly?

    MAFEX used to have shit QC, but since 2019, they've been killing it.

    My comic paint Spider-Man had both wrist joints disintegrate 30 seconds out of the box. That was released in 2019.

    In the interest of fairness though, Hush Batman is amazing. I do think the chunkier the figure, the better it is. Which is why I’m wary about this one.

    Fair enough on that Spidey, that is a known issue.

    I used to HATE MAFEX, the three I had all broke one me or were awful. But I've gotten IW Thor, Carnage, Gwenpool, Shazam, Homecoming Spidey. All amazing.

    I guess I'd suggest looking up reviews of the Spider Verse Miles Morales they did. Scrawniest figure I've ever seen, only real issue is the clothing.
